Synopsis

Synopsis
They stirred up the streets of Stilwater and became the new kings of the town. Now, the city of Steelport is about to get rusted when the Saints take the fight to the Syndicates' turf for the biggest, most outlandish chapter in this epic gang war to date. Rejoin the ranks of the most unholy Saints around as you return to the Row to experience gang life, post-fame. Kids are kicking around in Saints sneakers, tough-guy hopefuls are slurping Saints energy drinks and storeowners are proudly displaying Johnny Gat bobble heads on their top shelves. Celebrity status has hit — but will the Saints survive their newfound glory unscathed?

In Saints Row: The Third, fame and fortune come at a bittersweet price for the kings of Stilwater. Faced with serious demands from the legendary criminal fraternity, the Syndicate, the Saints must hit the streets of Steelport to trample their new rivals — and defend their status. Get ready for intense action, grueling gang violence and outlandish situations to spare as you take on a decaying city of sin in an all-new battle with the Saints. Buckle up and take a massive tank on a wild ride — through the sky. Duke it out against trained military forces and call in a strategic airstrike on a Mexican wrestling gang. With grit and guts galore, you and your gang will never kneel to an enemy. After all, just because you're a Saint doesn't mean you have to behave.

Saint's Row Third

Posted by: from wisconsin on 04/16/2013Ah.. The Row.. it is a series that every game should be like. If you want realism.. then quit staring at a tv and put down the piece of plastic in your hand and go outside. This game is plain fun.. crazy crashes, wild missions, plenty to find... all in an open sandbox arena. Quick Saint's Row background.. everyone knows GTA and you can almost see the designers making this game. As though in a meeting on GTA they said "what if we added ______" and the table said no, we have to keep GTA "realistic".. so they created Saint's Row to utilize all the fun ideas. Saint's Row 3 is a mirror to GTA Liberty City, just like Row 2 is like San Andreas. Both 2 and San Andreas are two of the great games ever made and the follow up versions fall short in ways. My thoughts on major areas: Graphics - MUCH better than the pasts. Not over the top, but clean. Wrecks are good and cars are good. Create a character is awesome Controls - SO GLAD the driving controls are on the trigger. (my one compliant with #2) Helicopters are MUCH easier to control. Not sure if this is just hardcore, but loved not having the auto site controls. Aiming is more difficult, yet a good challenge. In GTA, I could mow down 100 people with a SMG, no problem.. now it takes some skill and fun. Music - What I loved about San Andreas was the "random" music. I loved the old school country tracks as I plow down the highway. This soundtrack has some 80's classic.. nothing better crashing through Steelport to "I need a hero.." The classical station is awesome too. I am not into new, gangsta rap.. if you are, then you could be disappointed I guess. Gameplay - Full story took me roughly 13 hours doing the minimum on hardcore. I have tons of neighborhoods to clear and side missions. I miss the sewer truck like everyone else. The others missing weren't my favorites, so not really missing them. Heli Assault is MUCH better with the better graphics. The aerial vehicles are all very good! Not sure I understand the complaints about side missions and the story.. it happens a few times, but not a big deal to me. The missions are a good mix of hard.. not too easy, but not pull your hair out and throw the controller difficult. Several took tons of tries while others were knocked out first time through. The checkpoints are in good spots. Glitches - surprised the haters haven't commented that there are some glitches. I don't really care, but some people might be bothered. I got stuck inside a vehicle a couple times due to spawning and had to blow myself up. The "disappearing vehicle" glitch from #2 is gone.. the one where there is a car behind you, turn your head and then back.. its gone. Overall - If you love Saint's Row.. you will love #3. If you are a video game snob, you could find issues. #2 is still the best of the series, but this is not a far second and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Long live The Row and PLEASE make another!!

Saints can't lose

Posted by: from Manassas, Va on 09/19/2012Does shooting pedestrians out of a cannon attached to a car interest you? How about streaking? If yes, I'll get on to the actual review, otherwise you can go back to being boring, This is a much better game than the previous two in the series, not that the first two were bad; this is just completely different in a good way. First, it's not in any way a serious game, which is great, as we have enough serious stuff already. As mentioned above, that is only two of the ridiculous things in this game. Most I cannot mention on here and without spoiling the game. I'm really looking forward to the fourth game, just hoping it's just as crazy.

Posted by: from Kulpsville Pa on 07/12/2012Before you know it you have been playing for 4 - 5 hours not knowing where the time went. Missions aren't too hard and are not repetitive.

Worth the time

Posted by: from Cincinnati,OH on 02/13/2012Picked this up on sale at bestbuy for 35 bucks. Lots of fun side missions to play along with a pretty good story line. New gun, New vehicles, better fighting features. Sucks that they won't make a bigger multiplayer and that it's just 2 person co op but still alot of fun with all the customizations for your character, vehicles etc.

Posted by: from on 01/29/2012I had 60 dollars sitting around an i wondered. Between the new assassins creed or saints row 3 (SR3). And this was obviously the buy. When i first saw this game i thought it was dumb and childish. But this game came through to make me laugh many times. If you are waiting for gta 4 BUY THIS GAME. It will hold you over. Its has loads of this to do and the free roam in general is great. This is a huge up grade from sr2 in every way EXCEPT the online which upset me. Because they took ot out completely (co-op) is still here. But the loads of things to do in this game makes up for it. Its a must buy. But plese know this game is very mature and is reccomed for adults only the lowest age i will go for is 16 for your child.

Posted by: from usa on 01/22/2012this game was definitely worth the 34.99 (when it was on sale) i really enjoyed the storyline, very fun and it was challenging if i could i would give it more stars, i'd give this game a 8/10 rating, although i did notice something in the my stats, while i was looking at my stats i noticed how many escorts i completed it said '5 out of 3 completed' i mean is that normal or did the 2 tiger escorts count? overall a very fun game
