Bought it to use with a new 60" Panasonic Viera HD Smart 3D. I wanted a Samsung TV to ensure seamless integration, but the model I desired was sold out. As it turns out, the Samsung system integrated very easily with the Panasonic.

Great Sound System Held Back by Little Things

Posted by: Gaius9 from Boston, MA on 04/14/2013The audio fidelity is excellent, the best I have ever heard from a "theater in a box." Bass is powerful and smoothly transitions into mid frequencies where it really shines.
It is of course no where near a true 1330 Watts but every single boxed system overstates its power so I don't fault them for it.
The wireless rears are a nice touch and work quite well. It's not a true 7.1 as what should be mid speakers sit atop the fronts. It does render 7.1 fairly well and the vast majority of content is 5.1 or 2.1 anyways.
It's quite easy to setup and looks nice but the front stands are flimsy and too easily toppled.
Internet apps for things like Pandora work acceptably. My real complaint comes when you need to switch inputs. Many of the menus are sluggish (worst of all here) and the fact that you must cycle through all of the sources using a single button becomes quite tiresome. If only I could assign each source a button or at least cycle through HDMI sources only, it would be tolerable. Instead to go from HDMI 2 to HDMI 1 is a lengthy and unnecessarily obnoxious process.
It is the little things that hold me back from recommending this system to anyone who wants a quality "theatre in a box."

Beyond Disappointed!

I have tried to calibrate it many times but it doesn't improve the sound quality. It sounds clear but it's not loud enough for my family room. Beyond disappointment especially since I paid a lot expecting it would sound so much louder!

Big sound for the size of unit

Posted by: prohopper from Kansas City MO on 04/12/2013I replaced an 06' Samsung unit that was under powered. This unit is loud and clear. I can't turn up the volume all the way. Love that. The extra output would be for apple tv. The bass isn't over powering but present. Looks great in the room with high gloss finish. Quiet operation. Quickish loading. Touch screen front panel is a cool feature, until the kids figure it out. USB in the front. iPod cradle is a nice feature for fast hook up. It does streaming for pandora and Netflix but I don't use those features. Programed my Direct TV remote and can use the important functions. The price is high but the features make it worth it. Catch it on sale and you have a sweet deal.
