Awesome fridge, had it about 3 weeks now. No problems thus far. LED lighting is amazing. I got it in white, still looks great. I love it. Fits a crazy amount of food top to bottom. GET THIS FRIDGE! I checked all around about the prices, Best Buy beat everyone or was the same. Delivery was excellent, set it up for me in less than 30 mins. The only thing it needs is a back plate for the ice bin so when you open the freezer ice doesn't fall out the back. I dont know if it came with it or not, i have to call. But all in all we love it.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Weeks of research led us to purchase this 'fridge because of the following reasons. 1) Consumer Reports best buy. They're not always right, but on this one they nailed it. 2) Build quality. The plastics and metals on this fridge are visibly higher quality than Whirlpool and many Frigidaires. The drawers & shelving feel smoother and more sturdy. 3) Functionality. Simple but accurate digital temp controls and highly adjustable shelving with the french double doors allow us to customize the fridge to our needs. During holidays we can remove shelves or rearrange them to fit a huge turkey or large containers. The freezer is huge and can fit several frozen pizzas, ice cream containers, and a frozen turkey. 4) Style. This is a great looking fridge and we didn't need through-the-door water dispensing, which can often cause problems later down the line. We actually get compliments on our refrigerator from friends who visit our home, which is a little bit funny, because who really notices a refrigerator?5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

We've reviewed so many refrigerators before we chose this one, but we are so glad we went with this one! We got it on sale for $1299. Love love this refrigerator! At first I wasnt so happy with not having an ice maker/water dispenser on the outside, but after a lot of convincing from my bf, I think it was the right decision because lots of time the ice maker/water dispenser tends to be the first thing to go wrong and Im really not looking to fix anything anytime soon and this refrigerator also comes with a water dispenser and an ice maker of course, it's just on the inside. Lots of space both top and bottom. My only small compliant is that the ice maker doesnt make ice very fast and it was suppose to come with an ice scooper, but i didnt get one, however, after a couple of days it caught up and I never seem to use it all anyway and I bought a scooper at TJ max for $2.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

I have only had this refrigerator for less than a year, but so far I have been satisfied with it. It has plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. THe ice-maker is quieter than I expected. But... I have to call for service twice. The refrigerator star to make noise and do not work well. First service takes 2 weeks. I'm waiting for the second time. The Tech said he has a lot of work now in Samsung refrigerators. Quality control is not good so far.2 out of 3 found this review helpful.

I have only had this refrigerator for 3 weeks, but so far I have been very satisfied with it. It has plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. THe ice-maker is quieter than I expected. The water dispenser works well and I have not seen any leaks or drips from the spout. The only problem that I found is that there is a bolt that is holding the door on, which is too long. I did not notice it until it started leaving a mark.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Have had our new Samsung a month now, impulse purchase leaving the store on Christmas Eve. Scored terrific deal on "open box" item, one small dent from brand new - and it's on the side where no one sees it anyway. Rave reviews from guests over several holiday parties. So much more room and ease of use from our old side-by-side Kenmore. Very elegant clean design, platinum finish is great, easy to keep clean. Love the inside water dispenser, our old fridge's ice/water in the door unit constantly dripped or dropped ice cubes that then melted in puddles to step in first thing in morning. One small design issue is that the clear plastic window on the wide pull-out pantry drawer is already getting scratches due to the front doors scratching over it if it's not completely pushed back in. It requires both outer doors be fully open to get it which makes it a little more hassle when cooking and grabbing stuff in and out of fridge. Otherwise a wonderful purchase, lovin' our new fridge!5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Excellent Fridge--Great Value5

My Wife and I purchased the fridge to match the stainless steel appliances we already had in our new house. This fridge was exactly what we were looking for and was a reasonable price. We didn't want the clunky exterior ice maker and water filter as the ice box take away alot of interior room of the fridge. The interior water filter is sleek and doesn't take away any storage space, which is a plus. Haven't had to replace the water filter yet but I'm sure it wont be a hassle. The ice maker in the freezer is nicely placed and doesn't take away too much freezer space. The ice make has a designated on/off button when your ice box is getting a little too full. The platnum finish gives it a nice stainless look without the hassle of always having to clean fingerprints. Great big storage space---no problems to date with the fridge. (Used for 3 Months now!) Buy this fridge if these are the options you like!2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

We have had our new fridge for a couple weeks now. It is very spacious and it doesn't get the fingerprints like our stainless steel fridge did. I have small children who sometimes like to open the doors on the fridge. I like how the fridge part beeps when the doors are left open but the freezer does not do that. It's somewhat frustrating because little kids don't realize that they have left the door open a little, so all of our things in the freezer are frosted now. Also, you can the motor of the fridge running whenever it goes. It is louder than our refridgerator we had before.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

SUB-PAR standards/product1

The Samsung / Chinese standard for ice production is 70 cubes per day, my Whirlpool gave me 160. Their standards and products are well below par. Frost builds up in the freezer even after 8 service calls and replacement parts. Expectations were high due to the price but disappointment ruled in the end. If you don't use much ice, this refer is for you. Platinum finish is magnetic, great for covering up those dents those happen too easily with this product. Water filter must be flushed twice the directed amount to remove bitter tasting water. Water dispenser in fridge is great; 10x better than that SXS design of theirs. Overall, not worth the money just to have LED lighting in your fridge.2 out of 3 found this review helpful.

I am in love with a refrigerator!!!5

Really, I have had a side by side for 18 years, I don't know how i lived with that! I love this fridge. The doors hold tons of stuff, even my gallon milk jugs. I haven't managed to fill the freezer, it just seems to get deeper and deeper. I like the divider in the freezer, and the top drawer where the ice is, it is convenient for frequently used items. I haven't used the large deli drawer, it is the only thing that seems odd to me, not very useful since it is long and shallow.
I was a little hesitant about not having ice and water through the door, but I like that I can reach in and get just the right amount of ice instead of having it pour out into the floor from the door dispenser. The water on the inside of the fridge means you always have fridge cold water so you really don't need the ice as much. The ice make is pretty slow. I looked it up on Samsungs website and it only makes 8 ice cubes at a time. There are only 2 adults in my house so we are fine with it, haven't run out yet.
As other people have mentioned, I also did not get an egg bin. Maybe because I bought this fridge as an open box item at the local Best Buy, but I have always put my eggs in a large glass bowl anyway.
Overall this is a great unit.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Do not leave without scheduling your delivery date! When we purchased the fridge they told us we needed to call to schedule for delivery but when we called they said they can only set it up with the store. What a headache and additional trip to Best Buy! UGH0 out of 6 found this review helpful.

Good option over door dispenser5

This refrigerator was a surprise. We went to the store thinking we would get a side by side with an ice and water dispenser in the door. However, we are aware that the in-door dispensers are usually the first thing to go. We started looking at the french door option because my husband is taller and liked being able to have everything at eye level. We found a surprise inside of this refrigerator in that it dispenses water through a simple tube and switch. If it goes, only a switch needs to be replaced. The ice is conveniently located at the top of the freezer in a drawer. I like this feature, because sometimes you want to just reach in and get ice. You can't do that with the in the door dispensers as easily as you can with this. There's nothing to disassemble to get to the ice. I found that all the reviews are pretty accurate for this fridge. You do need to watch the height of these shelves. If you have a lot of tall bottles, you either have to put them in the door, or possibly take out one shelf to accommodate them. Check this out before you leave the store, as you could be disappointed. We did a bit of shifting shelves around, and we are satisfied, but this is a problem with french door refrigerators. This is why I rated it down one star for features.
If you are thinking about stainless steel vs. the platinum finish and don't like fingerprints, definitely opt for the platinum. It is a tad darker-toned than the stainless, which is actually good. It reflects less light, but doesn't look 'fake'. It is 'warmer' than stainless, pretty, but still will require more wiping than a white or black textured finish. I think there is very little advantage to the stainless steel unless you are a fanatic about stainless steel. This is one case where the "imitation" is better than the real stuff. Our unit arrived with a dent in the door. I promptly pointed it out to the delivery men, who had been extremely cautious, so who knows how it happened. They immediately contacted Best Buy for us. Best Buy wanted to offer us only $75 off to accept the unit "as is". We declined, since we payed a lot of money for the fridge, and the dent is very visible. I will try to update as to how the service goes, but they are supposedly sending us a whole new refrigerator. We'd rather just swap doors to save the hassle of shifting everything, but so far, that does not seem like an option. Also, despite the fact that B-Buy has been notified, we have to take our paperwork into the store to arrange for our new delivery. These policies seem kind of silly, but otherwise we are satisfied.25 out of 25 found this review helpful.

The Best Buy delivery guys were very considerate when delivering the fridge. They had to cross a recently refinished hardwood floor to get to the kitchen and instead of cutting corners they hand carried it across the floor. The fridge cooled off very fast, holds enough food to host a 25 person party (and then some!) The freezer is the perfect size, the only single drawback is the ice maker takes a day or two to refill completely. Beautiful finish that cleans easily and resists fingerprint marks. Love this fridge!3 out of 3 found this review helpful.

Replaced our 10-year old Kenmore bottom-freezer. Lots of room and shelf space, with large door bins. Digital controls are superb and easy to use. It has been working mostly fine for the 3 months we've had it, but we had to place a service call for intermittent clanking sound from back. The service person could not pin-point what was wrong but tigthening a few things and slightly bending back a protruding part away from the back grill seems to have worked (fingers crossed). Another concern was that it was delivered without the advertised egg tray and with a few internal scratches--not sure whether manufacturer or shop is to blame. Inspect thoroughly upon delivery. Also, the internal water dispenser tends to drip a little. And RF266AEPN is platinum look, not stainless steel.3 out of 3 found this review helpful.

Our Whirlpool died after seventeen years so we were in need of a new refrigerator. I had never heard or tried a Samsung before so I thought for the size and the price it was a great deal. Well not so, the water dispenser dripped, it was very noisy sounded like the compressor was going out, it didn't make enough ice and there was condensation in the freezer so I assumed it had a leak some where.
The refrigerator did have a lot of room and I did like the platinum finish, much better than stainless steel. BUT I would much rather have stainless steel and a refrigerator that works. Traded for another Whirlpool, lost a cubic foot but the Whirlpool refrigerator works A LOT better than the Samsung. Best Buy was great in making things right!2 out of 4 found this review helpful.
