Good, but wondering about dependability...3

We've been happy with this item overall, but just 3 weeks ago we heard a loud pop and the oven wouldn't heat. Turned out the connector for the primary oven element blew out. So had to replace that. I've never purchased an extended warrenty with a Samsung item, but will probably need to do so with future products as we also recently had to replace our Samsung microhood. That will certainly make Samsung less competative when I'm comparison shopping.3 out of 4 found this review helpful.

First I'd like to say that I've only had this oven for around a month so this review most be taken for what it is. I will update this review should any problem arise.
I love this new oven. I've had several ovens since I learned to cook many years ago and this is pretty close to the best I've ever had. Aside from cosmetics, which obviously I think are great, but which you can judge for your own taste, the oven feels sturdy. It doesn't wobble or anything and it's hard as heck to move at all even just an inch or two - Personally I like that. I don't want a stove that feels flimsy. It's got a nice heavy door with a good seal so it doesn't heat up my whole kitchen (at least until I open the door).
The convection works perfectly, every corner of the oven heats up. My one complaint about the temperture is that when the oven beeps to say it's up to temp. it isn't really (at least according to my oven thermometer), but it gets up to temp a minute or two after that it beeps, so it's not a big deal. All-in-all it's up to temp in 5-7 minutes which I don't think is too bad. Another thing I've noticed is because the door seal is so good, and the oven doesn't loose heat with the door closed by the end of baking something the oven is actually running hotter than the temp. I've set it too (again according to my oven thermometer). I think that would be great if I were the sort of person who opens the door to check on things all the time (It would compensate for the door opening), but I don't do that I just leave it to cook untill the color looks right. Despite that it hasn't really been a problem. With the convection most things finish cooking before the actual temp surpasses the set temp, and those few things I cook that don't finish that early cook stand the higher temperature just to help them brown at the end anyway - so I'm actually kind of loving it.
One thing I do find odd is that if you turn the light on in the oven and then open the door the light will go off when you close the door again, instead of staying on. So if I'm putting in a secon tray of cookies a few minutes after the first the light goes off on my and I have to tap the button gain. Not the end of the world but I imagine they put that in as a time or energy saver and the number of times I have to hit that button to turn the light back is not saving me any time or energy. On the plus side I can have two or three over-sized trays of cookies in the oven at once and they all come out perfectly golden brown. I did it last week just to see if I could, but come Christmas that'll be a real time-saver.
I'm also really loving the glass top burners. They heat up really fast and evenly. I've never had an electric stove will burners this nice...the last time I was this happy was with a gas stove, and let's face-it with the prices of petrol products these days I can't really support that, so this is a great alternative.3 out of 4 found this review helpful.

People Make Me Laugh!5

I purchased my Samsung range back in September 2011, and I coulnt be more pleased with my appliance!! We had a little bit more black in the microwave and didnt want the stainless overpowering our kitchen so this was a perfect fit! I had never used convection before and didnt see much of an advantage till now!! I have found that when cooking rolls or buscuits theres a very thin line between done, and burnt bottom, so I just use the standard over for that. When I do larger meals or things that are thicker like lasagna the covections bakes it even and fast! I love having two big burners in the front rather than a big and a small. The buttons are very user friendly and will also auto-convert the temperatures for convection so there is no guessing games!!!
The reason why I say people make me laugh is the ones that give the product a 1 rating, lemons happen not just with Samsung but Whirlpool, G.E. and LG. Manufactures are junk to talk to thats why I purchase the GeekSquad Protection that way if something like that does happen I dont have to deal with anyone BUT best buy!
I highly reccoment this range for a happy medium for people wanting great features with a great price!!8 out of 8 found this review helpful.

We have had this range for about 2 months now. This stove and cooktop heat much faster than or previous LG we owned. The heat in oven is very even. The warming drawer is a very nice feature. The only drawback we can find is the pushbuttons require a fair amount of pressure to operate.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Oven makes a very irritating clicking noise1

This range looks great, but the oven makes a very irritating clicking noise while operating. Does anyone else have this problem? Called Samsung, the first call said it was a igniter problem. The second call said it is a normal function of the oven. Never had a range that made a noise like this before.1 out of 5 found this review helpful.

This is the 3rd stove we've purchased for our winter home in Florida. The first 2 were very basic with horrible cooking/baking results so we decided this time to invest in a good one. We have not been disappointed. We love all the features especially the quick heating elements and the convection oven.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Convection baking cuts down on bake time and everything I've cooked has come out perfectly done on both top and bottom. Variable size burners, warming burner and warming drawer are great features. Haven't had to use it yet but I like the option of steam cleaning.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Great Range at a Reasonable Price5

I absolutely love my new range. I wanted a convection oven but was afraid it would be a big hassel to have to reconfigure every receipt. This oven does it for you. No hassel just enter the normal temp and it will convert the temp for you when using the convection oven. The oven itself is huge 5.9 with 3 racks . I love it. I didn't think I would use a warming drawer, but it's a great feature. I had read some reviews that said it was hard to clean but I have not found it hard to clean up at all. As long as you put the Cerma Bryte on the cook top before you begin using it, clean up is very easy.. I am so glad I bought this range12 out of 12 found this review helpful.

Chipping oven surface, slow to heat stovetop1

From day one the stovetop was extremely slow to heat up. We bought new pots thinking they were the issue. Took an hour to bring a stock pot of water to a boil. Burner element kept turning on then off. The stovetop was easy to clean, and the range has all the bells and whistles, but the last straw was the chipping porcelain in the oven. At 350 degrees you would hear a pop and porcelain chips would litter the bottom of the oven. It was chipping by itself near the rack shelfs. Glad we bought the Black Tie protection plan.4 out of 12 found this review helpful.

We purchased this Samsung electric range at BestBuy to replace an aging standalone range. Excellent decision! The features far surpass anything in its price range. Flat, easy clean cooktop. Electronic controls. Self cleaning convection oven. Features that we could not find in another standalone range without spending another 200 dollars. No regrets....6 out of 6 found this review helpful.

Been using this stove for a few weeks now and it is awesome. It replaced a 10 yr old stove that still worked but was definitely feeling its age. The glass cooktop, selectable elements, and convection bake are all wonderful. The large window is a great plus and we have even used delay bake.
The cookies my wife bakes in this thing are absolutely delicious.11 out of 13 found this review helpful.

We recently moved and bought all new appliances. We bought this convection range initially for its size and the fact that it was partially stainless steel. It works great for large gatherings or just for the family. The cooktop does not appear to scratch easily so it still looks great after about 7 months. The cooktop cleans easily with ceramic cooktop cleaner. I would definitely recommend this range.11 out of 11 found this review helpful.

I PUCHASED THIS STOVE BECAUSE OF THE NAME AND IT LOOKED GOOD. HOWEVER 2 LED LIGHTS WILL NOT WORK AND THEIR TECH COULD NOT FIX IT IN 2 ATTEMPTS. THEY HAVE MADE US WAIT FOR WEEKS ON END FOR ANOTHER STOVE WITH NO CALL BACKS AFTER MAKING HALF DOZEN ATTEMPTS TO CALL SAMSUNG. STILL WAITING! STAY AWAY FROM THIS STOVE.15 out of 30 found this review helpful.

purchased about three months ago - noticed problems with one burner after about two weeks. called samsung and filed warranty claim, took 2 weeks for service company to call back, they scheduled visit but then cancelled and rescheduled because they wanted to make sure to bring parts with them. then they came out, looked at it and said "need to order parts" that was two weeks ago and haven't heard back.
look for the money this range is a piece of junk, there is barely any stainless steel on it, it's mostly black. the knobs feel cheap, the buttons are hard to push, it's hard to clean, there are no nice features. my basic inexpensive GE range was better than this.17 out of 27 found this review helpful.

This Samsung range is my best range ever! It bakes items to perfection. When using the convection oven mode it has a feature that automatically adjusts the temperature - no self calculating need be done.
The stove top elements heat evenly.
The entire range is easy to use, both stove top and oven.
The warming drawer was a life saver for our Christmas dinner as it keep items wonderfully warm while other items finished cooking. It allowed me to have everything done at once while nothing got cold.
I read about the surface scratching easily but I have NOT had this problem. I got a free sample size bottle of Cerma-Bryte with the range and I follow the instruction in the owners manual and I have not had any type of scratch yet.15 out of 15 found this review helpful.
