Out of the box the picture is ok but after a calibration (I did my own) the picture is very impressive. The Smart TV connects to the internet and can stream movies and TV shows. Audio quality is ok, but that is to be expected. I would rather have screen size than big speakers in a TV. The 3D feature is great when playing 3D blue ray movies. The 2D > 3D upconversion is also pretty good on broadcast movies.

    Posted by: from Chicago on 03/17/2013Purchased the 65in samsung with high hopes. At first, everything looked great. Tv and Blu-ray movies had a great picture. Then I started watching sports, some hockey and golf and noticed some faint vertical bands in the background when the camera panned to follow the ball or puck. It was very annoying and noticalbe. You would not really see them watching moveies unless there was a solid background. Decided maybe it needed time to "break in". Watched the Dark Knight Rises" which has many dark scenes. During the dark scenes each corner of the screen became like four spotlights pointing toward the center of the screen. I cant believe a tv that cost this much would have flashlighting this bad. After a week went by was very annoyed by the flashlighting and the vertical bands were still visable during sports. I went back to Best Buy and felt like they knew there was a defect with this samsung tv because when the associate was explaining my situation to the manager he told him I had a TV with "the defect" They then went further away from me and talked in private. When then they came back they were trying to persuade me to go with a Sony instead. I asked for another Samsung to be delivered and they did so with not extra charges. When my second samsung arrived, same problems. This time I asked the geek squad associates to wait and exam the tv. They saw the same banding and flashlighting and were shocked how bad it was. I sent both tvs back and got a sharp elite instead. Best Buy was very helpful and easy to deal with during both returns and the new purchase so thumbs up to them. But I still cant believe samsung would sell such a poor quality tv for so much $$. I was even told by the geek squad that samsung hopes people wont notice the problems or be ok with the defects. Please take my advise, spend your hard earned money on a different TV.

    Posted by: from Kansas City, MO on 03/14/2013I'm just amazed at the quality of this TV. I replaced a 2011 Samsung 59" 3D Plasma, which was a great TV, but this one just blows it away. When you replace a really good quality television and notice a significant upgrade in picture quality, it is pretty satisfying. I really like the fact that you can add the evolution kit when it comes out and keep your TV up to date without having to invest in a whole new TV. Love this TV!

    Posted by: from OH on 03/11/2013Had this TV for a couple of months. Love this TV. Easy to set up out of the box. The picture is excellent. Sound on the TV is average to below average at best as the speakers are out the back. However we have ours hooked up to a surround sound system. The internet takes some time to get used to. Connection is sometimes slow. The apps that Samsung has are limited. Downloaded Angry Birds but the hand motion censors are very finiky and tempormental. Skype is pretty good afer we put a range booster on. Watched 3d movie on first day we got it and all I can say is WOW. However with any 3D, we got eye strain along with a headache half way through the movie and had to take a break. Samsung is always updating the software on the TV Otherwise I love this TV.

    Posted by: from Redding,CA. on 03/05/2013We fell in love with this TV, had a GREAT Picture, Looks Great, lots of connections like 4 HDMIs, but after 3 months it started having a bunch beautiful color vertical lines and it would shut off and on continually, bummer, hope they can repair it as we really like the TV, glad I bought the Best Buy warranity as they will replace it if it can't be fixed
