Posted by: from Fargo, ND on 05/09/2012We bought this dryer two weeks ago and and am returning it. A loud jarring noise starts when you start the dryer. It continues for about 5-10 minutes and then fades. We had the Geek Squad out to look at it and when he left it sounded fine. I ran another load of clothes through the next day and the problem came back. Very disappointing. Not sure if I'll get the same model or abandon Samsung altogether.

The dryer is usually done before the washer so I'm never waiting to do the next load, which enables me to get my laundry done quicker. It has a bedding setting so it will dry a comforter all the way through quickly. It has a steam cycle I have only used once so far, I through in a shirt and pants that were wrinkled and they came out perfect! No need to iron! I can not say enough about this set, I am so happy with it!

Posted by: from Raleigh, NC on 01/25/2012I love my new dryer. I have had it a month and dry 4 to 5 loads a week. I wish it had a towels setting like my washer but overall it does a fabulous job. The steam setting really gets wrinkles out but the key is only putting in a few items at a time.

Posted by: from NC on 01/21/2012I was a little concerned from a couple other reviews that this washer had problems with not using enough water to wash lighter loads. I have not seen that to be an issue ... and believe me I check closely (perhaps the 1 or 2 complaints had somthing wrong with their machine). It is unfortunate that the government mandates that users cannot choose the load size to wash with more water, but this is not an issue with this washer. I got the washer and dryer on sale for about $1300 inc tax and delivery. The washer is really big inside. Manages to wash a king comforter. It is also really quite. All you hear is water splashing.

Good Dryer

Posted by: from Holbrook, NY on 01/14/2012I bought this dryer on sale for $679 at Best Buy. Great price for this particular dryer, but I feel Samsung washers and dryers are overpriced as a whole. This dryer does a good job, plus it has a "steam" feature. But, I found if I do a large load of adult jeans, the dryer is not big enough to dry them all without leaving some of them wrinkled.

Posted by: from wylie,tx on 12/21/2011worst dryer i have ever had. won't dry clothes in under 1 hr. 40 min. i regular towel load 2 hrs. on 12-15-11. it took 2.5 hrs. to dry clothes with towels, hand-towels,dishtowels, washcloths, mixed. purchased this dryer before thanksgiving. best buy also upped the price 3 days before Christmas.

Posted by: from Sandia, TX on 11/22/2011Have had this dryer for 6 weeks, and the only downside I've found is when I went to dry some stuffed toys that I had spot cleaned. It was then I realized it doesn't have an "Air Only" setting. I used the "Refresh" cycle instead, though, and it worked fine. I didn't know if I would ever use the steam, but it came in really handy when I put a different skirt on my bed. It had been in my cabinet for a while and was wrinkled. The "Wrinkle Away" cycle didn't make it look like it had been ironed, but it did take care of the wrinkles. The machine dries quickly and is quiet.

Everything You Could Want in a Dryer!

Great dryer for the price

I was a little concerned about the comments I was seeing that the washer does such a good job of getting the water out of the clothes that they are all wrinkled. This dryer takes care of any wrinkles. All the cycles I need and I love the steam cycles! I do not like to iron so if I have items that I air dry I throw in on the "wrinkle away" cycle and this has been wonderful for me.

It holds a lot of clothes, has a shoe/sweater rack and a light inside. My old dryer was pretty basic - and almost 30 years old, so I am very happy.
