Solid choice at good price for an HE washer

Posted by: jmegana from Gastonia, NC on 06/11/2013We got this washer with its dryer counterpart and its perfect for our new home. I wanted a top loader without an agitator - this model was our best bet for the price, and we got a lot more with it.

Nice washer without a lot of the bells and whistle

Posted by: Seege from Fort Wayne IN on 06/09/2013We've had this washer for a few months now. Compared to our older style washer this thing is super quite and easy to use. Clothes seem to be softer and cleaner. Spin cycle actually removes water before placing clothes in the dryer.

Posted by: Goodwoman from Murrieta, CA on 06/08/2013Washing machines have certainly changed since I purchased our last washer!!!! This new agitation system gets clothes real clean without being too hard on the clothes. Took me a while to get used to. I did not believe a washer that was so quiet could do the job.

Nice transition from a front loader

Posted by: dvtdvt from Mississippi on 06/07/2013When my LG front loader crapped out, I was looking for a top loader that would hold a lot. After reviewing the LG version of this, I decided to go with something with the controls on the back instead of the front where they could easily get wet from laundry.
I ran a few loads with no issues. I can't tell if the clothes are being agitated very well without the glass lid (didn't want to pay nearly $100 more just to see in). I pause it a lot and look in to make sure the clothes are covered in water, which they seem to be.
My first problem, though, was when I ran two blankets. It wouldn't spin out without issues. Then I tried to just spin after manually rearranging, but it kept trying to drain/refill. Finally it spun only and I got them done. Haven't done many more blankets since, but I suspect that not being a front loader will always create balance issues with blankets.
It may not have been leveled correctly. Unfortunately this machine has no straight corners or anything to place a bubble level on it. You're supposed to put a little water in the bottom and eyeball the drum. We spent 10 minutes on that and never could tell if it was level.
The bleach "dispenser" which is really only a cup with a hole in it. There is no fill line so you are forced to measure it out. It drains down into the drum. When I called customer service to find out how much bleach to use, they were clueless. They were even going to send a repair man out because they seemed to think it was missing a part (they kept saying - fill to the fill line, and when I told them there was none, they said it was missing a part. But that's the way this model is - no dispenser, just a cup.)
The drum is very very deep. I'm 5'6" and I have to get on my tippy toes to reach the bottom. But it holds a lot and I like that it doesn't have the agitator (I think).
I use the pre-soak feature a lot. Even though it adds time to the load, I feel like it will be cleaner.
My only other beef is the tones when it's finished. I can't hear them cause they tend to blend in with the tv/radio more than my LG did. Perhaps I just need to get used to their sound.
Overall, it seems like a good washer. It's very quiet and has all the features I need.

Posted by: Katcoe from Dallas, TX on 06/05/2013Great price (compared with several other places and BB was lowest). Best Buy was very helpful. Appears to clean clothes. Wish I would have gotten clear lid so I could see what/how it works. The delivery guy said the machine starts off by leveling the clothes in the basket. (?) Sounds strange with short rrrrr sounds. Never hear any sounds of squishing or turning. However clothes come out clean. Didn't buy dryer at the time but may go back to buy matching dryer. Love the little chiming song it plays when clothes are done.

Good for the money

Posted by: lovetowash from stockbridge, ga on 05/31/2013This was the best washer I saw in my price range, digital controls, no agitator with a top load. It also self determines the size of your load therefore no load size options are available. I also like choosing quick wash, to save on water consumption. It is also energy efficient.
