Good big tv. Has the latest options.

Anyhow the sports tend to be fuzzy at times like when watching basketball and they run around the people are not hat clear when running. Animal shows are amazing and cartoon shows and movies it is amazing. And gaming amazing also.

Excellent Picture. Stunning!!

My wife came up from the basement and was startled by the person on the screen. She thought someone had come into the house. The DLP was 5 years old and i was tired of replacing bulbs. This LED blows away that TV on its best day. Very happy with this product. Would recommend it to anyone that can afford it. I have not even seen the 3D yet and and i am already satisfied that i made a good decision.

Posted by: SoccerFanatic2013 from New York, NY on 05/05/2013First of all, lets be honest, this is an expensive tv. So the question of is it worth it will be a matter of priorities for you. Picture quality is amazing, I think better than Panasonic, pioneer elite, etc. but my specific set of circumstances found this as the only current tv that fit the bill. I wanted a TV for a home theater (I do not like projectors, I don't care what they say, no one I have seen can rival that of a good tv and there are too many limitations). The TV needed to have a great picture, be at least 75", be easily wall mountable, be thin, relatively low weight, and esthetically pleasing. There is no other tv out there that has all of these requirements. Even though it seems minimal, 10 inches makes a huge difference in a home theater so the 65" would not work for me. The sharp 80 " pictures quality just doesn't compare and it's twice the weight and 3 times as thick. You can spend almost as much for a 70" elite, but you get 5 less inches, a thicker and heavier tv, and IMHO , picture not as good. So that leaves this tv. Is it worth 9k? To me it is, I am blessed to be able to afford it. And it fulfilled all of my requirements. Trust me, I thought long and hard about this TV, but in the end I would rather spend a few thousand more than invest in something that was heavy, thick and not great looking.

Very nice television

We hope that it continues to give us service. Just need a Geek Sqad tech to come back to teach us how to operate the devices especially 3D, Bluray, NetFlex etc.

Best 75" TV hands down

Posted by: LVmoviefan from Las Vegas, NV on 03/04/2013After 2 months of detailed searching and comparing I finally pulled the trigger on this expensive TV- and now I couldn't be happier! I love the true cinema- like experience at home and finally have a big screen without the usual drawbacks. Gone is the dark-area blooming I used to get with my old 73", gone the sacrificing of brightness to get high contrast, gone the soft picture to nullify graininess... This TV has met every one of my hopes- rich, vibrant colors, sharp, bright contrast, great black levels and 3D with almost non-existent ghosting. Blu-rays recreate the movie experience absolutely superbly and HD TV sports come across like you are right there. I haven't used any of the internet options and I use a surround sound AV receiver so I can't comment accurately on the TV's sound (I gave it a default "4"), but there are options included to set the sound delay, so any AV receiver hookup can be calibrated rather quickly- nice touch! Once or twice when I got set up for 3D I got a double-image sych problem that disappeared when I turned the 3D off and then turned it on again- and that's the only negative I've ever had. Other than that, I still marvel at the gorgeous picture every time I turn it on. I love 3D movies and this display is vastly superior to anything in it's size or larger that I've seen to date in displaying that format. Games are vivid and engrossing to play, although not being a "serious" gamer, I can't comment on any internet lag. I occasionally use the 2D-3D conversion feature with games to get a little more immersion fun- for an add-on gimmick appearing on a lot of sets these days, it actually works pretty decently. One note- when watching blu-rays set the Picture Mode to "Standard" and be sure to have the "Picture Options" adjusted to eliminate the soap opera effect common to high-HZ displays- I find that putting the "Custom" settings at 8 blur & 2 judder does it great- but the preset "Clear" also works fine in most instances. In the end it was hard to spend so much on a TV, but it was so well worth it for me- If you really want a near perfect picture on a very big screen, it's available at last. Just beautiful!

Best picture I have seen on any HDTV

The price is high but the quality of picture, ease of setup, Interconnection between other devices is great. The 3D just jumps off the screen as if you are part of it. I did a lot of research prior to making this selection. This TV lives up to it's hype once you get past the price it is a good value.

Outstanding TV. Worth the price (it is overpriced)

Sure there will be sharper TV's in the future but it takes at least 4-5 years for content to catch technology and the price will be even more for an equivalent size. So invest now and enjoy, you will have to 'force yourself' to go to the movie theater after you get this . It is so thin and light , you appreciate even more the advances that allowed it not weigh as much as the Sharps big screens do. I am very pleased with this purchase even though I do not use all the features yet (camera, voice activation, all great to have but not really needed for what I use the TV for).
