Posted by: FullProf from Atlanta, GA on 05/23/2012This is clearly the best MP3 player I've ever owned. It looks great, sounds great, and was easy to load. You can easily find and select any individual track in your music, and can also easily set it to pick at random from your whole collection, or by artist, album, or genre. It also goes several hours between charges. My only complaint is that the screen isn't bright enough to easily read when outside, in either sunlight or shade. That's my only complaint, though.

As they say good things come in small packages!

Posted by: bigdad257 from Chicago,IL on 04/29/2012I had a Sandisc Clip+ that broke at the clip in back not because of defect but because my usage, spread it to far overstrained it. So I was looking for the same. So this Zip Clip in different colors and with the small screen at the same basic price so I went with it. The sound has been adjusted to a higher quality and loudness available from the Clip+. I went up to 4gb. I like the ability to use a micro Sd Card.
You can make your own mixed cards like You used to with CD's and Cassettes (aging myself there).
The screen basically just shows album covers and book covers if you get audiobooks. A neat feature because I think alot of people can relate more to a picture than just a title. A visual will sink in faster than just a title when you try to remember to tell some one what to look for if you recommed the CD or audiobook you just read or heard.
It is a little thicker the a Clip+ to so you get a feel of better sturdyness.
Honestly you don't have to pay alot for a good little unit I won't mention names.

Posted by: SandyMB from Vermont on 04/02/2012I had a Sansa Clip previously which I liked - the only down side is that it is so small it is easy to lose, which is what happened to my last one!! But I like the compact size and the clip to take out when I go for walks, and when I travel.

Posted by: from Madison, WI on 03/21/2012The compact package belies its usefulness. I primarily use it for MP3 playing, and it works very well. Sound quality depends on the earbuds/headset that you use with it. The supplied earbuds are average at best. I have also used the FM radio and sound recorder for making voice reminders while I'm out walking. The screen scrolls the artist and music title if it is more than about 12 characters.

A great un-iPod music player

Posted by: Physicsman from Rochester, NY on 03/14/2012The Sansa Clip Zip is a great little mp3 player. Using it is intuitive, and I like the ease of adding songs without any special software. I mostly put my CD's on it, and don't buy much online. My wife has an iPod nano, which is fine, except for putting up with iTunes, a bloated mess that is a pain to use. The Sansa is much less expensive, includes a good FM radio, and works great. My only complaint is the earbuds. I have never found a pair that fits comfortably, so I just use a good set of headphones, which sound far better anyway.
