1/2 the price of the iPod Nano, but ...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is actually a great player for the price. What I like: The styling is nice. It's a good looking unit with a good screen. Perhaps the biggest plus is how easy it is to expand the memory. You can purchase a 32GB for about $50 these days which ups the memory to 36GB. Wow. I also like how it interfaces with Media Player. Very very easy to transfer music to this device. My son has an iPod and I swear I hate iTunes. But maybe just me. Media player is where all my ripped CDs are so it's much easier for me to transfer music with this device. Sound quality is surprisingly good even with the stock headphones. I have nice headphones, so it sounds even better, but I took the stock earbuds on a plane ride and they were quite adequate. What I don't like: Navigating the menus was a chore at first. Hard to get around. I don't really like the touch pad for the scrolling/tapping. I felt like some of the menu options were hidden and difficult to find. After spending a couple of days, I learned my way around, but that was rather frustrating at first. What I can't comment on: Video. Haven't used it. I had an older Fuze from a few years ago and the video was sub-par. Don't know about this one. Bottom Line: Overall, this is a great unit if you just want to listen to music and want good expandability

Aggravating under any circumstances
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bad: Touch sensitivity inconsistent and crude. Touch interface behaves differently at different times, difficult to figure out how to get out of or into an album. Difficult to navigate to any desired place. Shuffle automatically turns on after being turned off. Screen sometimes locks up - hold power button for five seconds and wait for a minute or two. Timeout when browsing can't be controlled, is too short, and automatically sends you back to current iterm - then difficult to renavigate to desired selection. The Good: Accepts a micro SD memory card. Buy the cheaper 4Gig version and for $20 add a 16Gig card for a total of 20 Gig for a pretty good price. Summary: Don't buy it if you have a low tolerance for frustration.

Good Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my Grandson on his 9th birthday and he really enjoys it. It is kind of hard to get turned on sometimes and the controls are a little dificult in comparison to the ipods. The plastics aren't of the best quality either, its only a couple of weeks old and already showing quit a bit of wear. Overall we are satisfied with the purchase.

It's all good.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 of these for my kids [6 and 8] and they work fine for their needs. The key pad is a bit sensitive so scrolling for songs/albums and back and forth is a bit of a challenge. The songs/albums/artist do not organize nicely, but much better than several other MP3 players I bought in this price range that I had to eventually return for a myriad of reasons. This one is worth the $50-60 I paid.

do not waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife bought me this as a gift. she can have it back. I wanted to throw it at a wall the second i turned it on. I hate the touch buttons. Moving thru the menu and all other features are bad at best. I have never hated a electronic item more than this one. I would feel bad giving it away to anyone even for free. So in the trash it goes. what a waste of my money. I would rather have gotten nothing as a gift from my wife.

MP3 player that looks great, but..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this player for a couple of reasons, the first was that I thought a mp3 player is a just that, it does not matter what the names is, well was I right? price, expansion of gigs and the look turned me too this player.. Well stay away it froze up on me the first week of purchase. Do your self a favor just buy a apple.. I returned it with no problems and purchased a ipod...

Not User Friendly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound was really good when we figured out how to access the sample music. Menu was difficult to figure out and navigate. I wasn't able to figure out how to install playlists, and loading entire artist folders to get one song seemed cumbersome. I don't particularly like Windows Media Player, and you must use that program to get anywhere with loading this device. The "touch buttons" were often unresponsive, and proved to be difficult for my mom to use. The menus were also confusing to her. Since it was a gift for her birthday, I returned it and purchased a more user friendly device.

Q: QuestionIs There a docking station for the scandisck mp3 players?
Asked by sher.
- A:Answer Not specifically, but it can connect via standard 1/8" mini/headphone jack. Might also work via USB and be able to recharge. The latest Sansa players don't use proprietary connectors like earlier models or ipods. You'll need to look for speakers or docking devices that accept USB or 1/8" line-in.

Q: QuestionDoes this product work normally with mac's as it does with pcsI want to make sure this can be used with my mac without requiring downloads that i can't get for a mac or are insanely priced
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The Sansa Fuze + will work with Mac OS X10.3 or higher and can only be recognized on a Mac computer when it is set on MSC (Mass Storage Class) mode. On MSC mode, it will show as a Removable Device so you can drag and drop supported content to the player. Also, the player supports MP3, WMA, WAV, secure WMA, FLAC, OGG Vorbis, and Audible formats. Songs that come from Itunes are mostly AAC in file format. This means that you may have to convert the files to the supported format in order to play them on the Sansa.
