Posted by: ShoOff007 from St. George, UT on 05/08/2013I purchased these stands for a great price when they were on sale for $59.99; which was $30.00 off regular price. I like how slim and clean they look with my surround sound speakers setting on them. I also liked that they came with an option to use spikes for the feet for carpet and rubber if you have tile, or wood floors. The speaker wire runs up the middle of the stand, so very little speaker wire is shown. It’s a little tough to run big speaker wire through the stand, but it can be done. They are able to support many different sizes of speakers and include many different brackets for mounting various types of speakers. My only complaint is that I’m not a fan of the way they set up the set screw for the height adjustment. One of my stands stripped out on me. I ended up using a small black screw from my garage to fix the problem. Make sure the screw you use has a sharp point to penetrate the plastic sleeve. All the screw needs to do is push the plastic sleeve on the inside of the stand against the other tube to hold it in place. In my opinion, my screw method is better than the factory one because I know they will not move once I set the height. I would have given them 5 stars if it were not for the set screw problem.

Decent Stands

Posted by: NM11 from Tampa, FL on 05/01/2013stands are sturdy even on carpeting, didn't even falter when dog knocked into one. Speakers are a good height and therefore not noticeable in the corner. Will definitely be buying another set in the future for the rest of the speakers.

Posted by: chris00alv from Fontana, CA on 04/19/2013Liked but not great. The adapters don't settle in very good so the attachment is not so great. So speaker is a little wobbly. Best thing to do is tighten and just leave alone. Any bump can cause speakers to tilt.

Broke during assembly.

Posted by: JD117 from York County on 04/12/2013The hight adjustment screw threads are poorly designed and stripped during assembly. Since a new replacement stand would still have poor thread design, I decided to drill a hole in the stand at the height desired and inserted a self tapping screw.

They're okay

Posted by: DavioMagnifico from Melbourne, FL on 04/05/2013So the speakers I have are bowers and wilkins m-1. Each one weight's about 9.4 lbs, these stands are rated to hold up to 10 lbs. I cannot have the stands extended or they slide down no matter how hard i screw them in without breaking them. They also did not have a mount that would work with the M-1, which I realize is B&Ws fault for using proprietary mounting, but the best buy employees told me that they would mount fine. I have to use a stand, and just put the speaker on top of a wider mount, not actually connected into the stand. The cable that the employee gave me to use for the speakers also barely fits.
