Base too narrow, not designed for Klipsch speakers

I decided to keep the stands and modify the mounts to accomidate my speakers. I have the stands in a corner, so if they fall, they will rest against the wall or my recliners. I would not trust these stands in the middle of the floor because they are top heavy. But for 30 bucks, i decided to make them work
