Component Shelf is a Good size for Cable Box

Semi-functional shelf

The package claims it holds up to 40 pounds, but there's no way. I have the tiniest non-dvr cable box on it and tried to add a bottle for decoration and it nearly broke.

Posted by: jeff29 from on 05/03/2013This thing is great for a wall mounted tv in a bedroom with only one component...if you have multiple components these stands work in tandem, and will definitely need more than 1....this stand is about the same surface area of a PS3
