Windows 7 was installed and the WEI gave a rating of 5.7, not bad but still a little lower than I had hoped. So, I bought another one and decided to set up a RAID 0 system which improved the WEI to 6.3; much better!
The bottom line is the hard drive works fine and only a "geek" like myself would even notice any issue with performance! A 7200 RPM hard drive would give you faster response if you need it, but at a greater cost.

Desktop drive does its job

Installed fine, booted up and added to system with little trouble. The only thing that would be helpful is it the kit would include mounting rails and screws; these are hard to scrounge from scratch.
