Posted by: syphon from El paso, TX on 05/06/2013I use it all the time to heat up my coffee when it gets cols. We use it to warm up leftovers as well. The only thing missing is a cook timer. My old microwave had one and I used it on a regular basis to time things in the oven or on the stove.

Almost two years ago, I got the LG for a great price, $129, so that's what I got back when I returned it. Because things only break when you don't have money, I didn't have the extra money to replace the LG with another LG like the old one....So I bought the Sharp. To be fair, it does work. Things get hot. It melts what it's supposed to melt. Popped corn pops. Water boils. Now here's the BUT. Ten years ago I had one of the Wal-Mart $29.99 GE it could be a shoe box microwaves and it was better than this one. It was better constructed, heated more evenly and took less time. It was 700watts. With the Sharp, the revolving tray won't stay in place and if you don't push the bottom part of the door when you shut it, it doesn't shut. Food will be too hot to touch in one place and cold another. There are 100 different things I could complain about but bottom line...it works but I wouldn't pay $100 for it. $60 at the most.

But for what was available at the store, I chose a higher quality this time, because of the price and especially the Brand. Because Many years ago I bought my Mother a Sharp roughly a $400.00 dollar one that she wanted for a Birthday / Mothers Day combo. Well that little turkey lasted 29 years ! So being I'm on Disability now , I have to take what I can get. With that said, being able to get a Sharp at a price I could work with, just Tickles the you know what out of me! This Microwave is more Technical than what I've ever bought, but at the same time it's easy to use. I Love it already ! And I still haven't had to read the whole manual yet, LOL . Thank You
