This is a GREAT movie!

Posted by: from Silverton, OR on 01/25/2012Although nothing like the original Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies, this movie is great. It completely re-envisions Holmes as a more physical and slightly odd man, due to his incredible intellect.

Posted by: from Northeast Ohio on 09/08/2011Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law provide great performances as a classic pair. The tension they create brings a fresh look to the Holmes/Watson combination. Casting RDJ was inspiring as he portrays Holmes as an eccentric genius. The scenes where Holmes formulates a plan of attack and then executes it is masterful. Great lead-in for future Holmes movies.

Posted by: from Terrell, TX on 02/07/2011Better than I even anticipated. It was a very well made movie. Robert Downey, Jude Law, & Rachel McAdams had some very funny moments in it. I can't wait for the sequel to be released!

Posted by: from Virginia on 08/21/2010I really enjoyed this movie. There were a few scenes that were a bit unrealistic, however, it was wonderfully put togther. I saw it in the theaters twice, and now I have it on DVD. It is one of my new favorites.

Posted by: from Louisville, KY on 08/20/2010It's a good adaptation. It avoids the pitfalls, that other Sherlock Holmes films and tv shows, fall into. It's a fun action movie with a decent plot, but it's not what I would consider a good mystery movie.
