    Smallville: Zod
Clark (Tom Welling) loses his powers when thrown into a Kryptonian prison created by Jor-El, and Zod hatches a diabolical plan to father an heir while becoming the undisputed ruler of planet Earth as season six of The CW's Smallville gets underway. Clark is locked away in the Phantom Zone, and now that his powers are gone it seems that the criminals once sent away by his father may finally have their revenge. Meanwhile, Zod has taken possession of Lex Luthor (Michael Rosembaum)'s body and plans to force Lana (Kristen Kreuk) to mother his child while preparing to transform the planet to resemble Krypton by using the alien ship's hard drive. While the outlook for mankind is beginning to look somewhat grim, hope arises when Lois (Erica Durance) and Martha (Anette O'Toole's plane goes down near the Fortress of Solitude and Jor-El offers a useful suggestion on how to dispense with Zod. Back at the Daily Planet, an old flame is reignited when Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore) and Close (Allison Mack) find that they still share a mutual attraction. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Posted by: from Eau Claire, WI on 02/13/2011Smallville is a great series that appeals to a wide variety of viewers. A hint of soap opera-ish acting and story line but great none the less. Lots of action and a few new twists on the Superman story that you may already know.

    Best season yet

Posted by: from New York, NY on 10/12/2007This season is the best from the dynamic writing and producing team behind Smallville. With more in-depth story arcs and the introduction of the genesis of the Justice League, this season packed in the action and kept making you want more. Season Six also delved head-on into the Kryptonian mythology even more than before with several episodes focusing on Clark's mission to stop the Phantom Zone escapees. This season also added another dimension to the never ending saga between good and evil with Clark and Lex's now adversarial relationship, especially considering the Lana angle. The transition is complete as Clark and Lex are now mortal enemies. The acting is above par with a terrific cast and a visible passion for the story they are conveying. A must have for any Superman fan!

    Smallville, Best Season Ever!

Posted by: from Illinois on 10/08/2007Season 6 of Smallville is the best ever. The writers have done a great job with the demise of Zod, introduction of the Justice League of America, and of course Lana's realization of Lex's truly evil intent. All of this is wrapped around Clark's maturing as a hero for all of mankind and the beginnings of his relationship with Lois Lane.

Posted by: from Tallahassee, FL on 09/18/2007This season was great! I actually was excited to watch each episode, which has been lacking for a few seasons. I'm a huge Superman fan! And so, when I heard about this show I started watching. The first two seasons were outstanding! And then things slowed down about mid-way through the third. Things started picking back up at the end of five and in this season, they took off! The sixth season has everything you want. Plenty of mythology, even more of Smallville's twist on the mythology, romance, wit, action, and tear-jerker moments. And personally being a fan of the Lana & Clark duo on this show, this season really had it all. Plenty of the forbidden. And the struggles Clark goes through this season really comes through in the character. It truly was a great season, with an explosive end. A must have!

Posted by: from Naples, FL on 09/14/2007Of all the Seasons of Smallville, Season 6 was by far the most suspenseful yet. All that I've seen was twists and turns that makes the show exciting, thrilling, and fulfilling. If you love Superman then this is the show for you. I just love how Smallville incorporates the old Superman movies and other superheroes too.

Posted by: from Naperville, IL on 09/13/2007This may be the best season yet. From the pending marrage of Lana and Lex to the introduction of The Green Arrow and Justice League this season has it all. Clark must transform from teenager to adult.
