The first one worked for less than one week and then it wouldn't turn on. Best Buy was excellent and replaced it with a new one. The replacement worked for about a month and now it, too, won't turn on. If it happened once I'd say it's an anomaly, but not twice. Just about every piece of AV equipment I have is Sony, but this is junk. Sony should be embarrassed.

This receiver is doing what I wanted

works great for our needs

This works well with what he already had, the price was right and we're very happy. At first we didn't understand why the sound was off but then read the online review which disclosed that a pre amp was necessary to listen to old vinyl LPs. We got the $22 Best Buy pre amp and now it's perfect.

Just got this one hooked up today but very pleased so far. Glad they sill make something that you don't need a degree in electronics to hook-up and operate. Hope it lasts as long as my last Yamaha 25+ yrs. and still kicking.

Excellent basic receiver

Unfortunately you have to use the remote to adjust the volume which takes time instead of having a volume knob to turn. Also there is no separate input jack for a turntable. I love the input jack for portable devices.
