    When was video taken?

    Posted by: from Easton PA on 04/07/2012I am in a profession when date and time stamp matter when uploading video onto a computer; of recent, the date and time stamp stopped showing. My company is p'ved... Sony's web-site help is irrelevant to fix problem! There are no answers to fix this. MAJOR FLAW WITH THE CAMERA; not to mention there are next to no manual options available... Completely disgusted, returning camera, and looking elsewhere. MY JOB DEPENDS ON THE VIDEO I RECIEVE.

    Great Quality but pricey

    Posted by: from Camden AR on 02/16/2012Its a great product but its very over priced for sure, great video quality except on youtube its a little slowish because of the website other than its perfectly good but really too much for this camera. I feel that its only a name brand I will not go to JVC because I had one and too many problems with them. I suggest that Sony is the best for this sort of stuff for professional use.

    Worst camcorder purchase ever made

    Posted by: from Ft Lauderdale on 01/29/2012I am really dissatisfied with this camcorder. I had the previous model and I was happy. As a camera, it is OK, but it is impossible to download the videos and burn them in DVDs. So, having the camera is useless. What is the use of shooting if you can never play it in a DVD or send it to a friend? The Sony PMB program does not work. I have spend 20 hours talking to the Sony support and they have not been able to help me. They made me unistall everything I had in my PC, because they might be in conflict and I still cannot burn any of the video files in a DVD. And then they proposed to use another PC to install the PMB SONY program. So, I should now buy a new PC, dedicated to my Sony camcorder... They made me buy extra RAM space, buy an updated Roxio burner, get Dell support (total approx cost $400) and there is still an error message when I try to move a video in a DVD.

The zooming part is the only part I like. Everything else is no comparison to my iPhone 4. Don't buy this camcorder unless u going to watch the video on small tv.

    Posted by: from Charleston, WV on 01/07/2012The Silver Sony DCR SX-85, in my opinion, is easy to use, has a strong zoom function, has multiple menu accessible settings, provides excellent video and still pictures, I have it set to highest resolution, and is compact, attractive and well constructed and engineered. I am pleased with the Sony SX-85 and would recommend it. Also, with an adapter, can be attached to a telescope. Also, filters can be attached.
