I know Bose is a well known brand when it comes to great sound quality, but I really didn't want to pay the price. I saw this product and figured I'd just go with it. It had some great reviews. I have to say the sound quality is amazing, and I am very picky when it comes down to it. I love to blast my music at all times when I'm home and this was the perfect product for that task! A great deal and free shipping!

Great compact speaker

Posted by: LauraGA from GA on 02/17/2013I am very happy with it. I like the sound better than the other small speakers and unless you are willing to triple your budget, this is a great buy. It syncs easily and I use my ipad and my iPhone with it. My only complaint is that he volume is lower when you use the battery vs it being plugged in. I just have to turn it up louder. It hasn't been a huge issue for me yet because I've only used it in smaller spaces. If I were to use it outside, it might be an issue but the weather hasn't been cooperative for me to test that. Overall, I am very happy with this and it's price.

excellent value for the price

Posted by: Andy069 from on 01/23/2013I got this little bad boy on sale for $79.99.. opened it up and paired it in less than a minute. Great sound for a little speaker. I generally listen to house music and it obviously doesnt have enough bass but i expected/knew that before i bought it. Dont get me wrong it has decent bass but nothing crazy. Great battery life, and i love the usb charging port. Enough about how good it is, let me share a few of my dislikes. 1) pull and pushing the back piece in and out is fairly hard. I thought i was going to break it by applying so much force. 2) it can EASILY tip over and in my opinion was a poor design to have it lean back the way it does. Overall i love it... BUY IT!

Great sound but.....

After turning on & pairing w/ my iPhone 4S I noticed the sound was a bit low until I plugged it into an outlet, then bam ! It got much louder. After playing a few songs, it started to skip repeatedly. I thought it might've been the connection, as I was using the SiriusXm app, BUT I was connected to wifi. So for troubleshooting purposes, I closed SiriusXm app & used the built in Music app. It STILL skipped repeatedly & I was only standing about 8 ft away in another room. This is going back to BB tomorrow. Very disappointed w/ this speaker even after doing my research on numerous websites praising this speaker to high heaven. We'll see how the return process goes today. Not looking forward to it. Oh well, onto the next one.....

Posted by: busta777 from on 12/26/2012This product is so good. Sound quality is amazing. Love that I can charge my phone. BUT THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS SPEAKER AND ONLY ONE. WHEN NOT CHARGING THE SOUND DROPS OFF 25% or maybe more. That's why I'm taking it back. If you like it loud. Get this, but you'll just have to keep it plugged in. Wish someone else would've caught this.

Posted by: ninadada from So. Cal on 11/16/2012Having just purchased the iPhone 5 and faced with the new dock connector dilemma I realized the portable wireless BT audio solution was the way to go. In hind sight, the iPhone 4 was not convenient to use while docked. I also realized I needed something that could be easily moved from the bedroom to the office to the garage to the patio and packed for travel. After reading numerous reviews, I decided to go to Target and Best Buy to do my own comparison against the Bose Sound Link, Jabra Solemate, Jaw Bone Jambox, and the Beats Pill. My order of priorities are sound quality, portability, then price. The Sound Link and Sound Kick are the largest, least portable but have the best overall sound quality and volume. The 3 smaller and more portable units ranked in order of sound quality are the Jabra Solemate, Beats Pill, and the Jambox last. The Bose Sound Link is able to reproduce lower bass frequencies the best, but the mid and treble seem a bit muted to me. The Sound Kick and Solemate have similar and decently balanced mid and treble but the Sound Kick handles the lower frequencies better with far less distortion at higher volumes. With the Bose priced at $300, the Solemate at $200, and the Sound Kick priced at $100 my decision was a no brainer. The Sound Kick would still have been my first choice even if priced at $200. One thing I noticed that I hadn't read in any reviews is that the Sound Kick plays noticeably louder while connected to AC. Lower max volume while running on battery is a fair trade off to preserve battery life. I'm not sure if this is also the case with any of the other products. Other noteables: BT pairing was fast and simple. I also like the fact that the battery alone from the Sound Kick can be used to charge a phone through the USB port in the event you find yourself in a pinch without access to AC. The weight of the Sound Kick is acceptable and the build quality is better than what I would have expected for a $100 device. To help further put things into perspective, the CoolStream 30 pin BT adaptor that I purchased for an old 30 pin dock station runs $40 alone.
