Made a great gift5

I bought this for my son whom I call monkey and he loved it. It made a great birthday gift for him. He is a teen. This monkey has great sound for what it is. My son has a small room. So worked out for that. We didn't want him to have anything that is too loud. Yet we found ourselves telling him to turn down the volume. lol So if you need the for small spaces....then this would be great.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I purchased this little guy as a gift and got one for myself.. I love that it is portible with a built in battery! It makes it so easy to go from shower to living room in a flash. The sound quality is very good. I wish it was slightly louder, I am happy overall. The volume is very cheeky with it being on the monkeys ears! I love a little ear squeez. The built in subwolfer is good for the size of the speaker. You can feel the air coming out the back. I would purchase this again.- Type of Listener : Avid listener

I got this Ipod dock for my 12-year old as a Xmas gift. Positives: Cute (seriously, this is Paul Frank so you know this monkey is the %#*@); great sound (you have to hear it to believe it and it cranks!); very portable (as it has a built-in rechargeable battery); sturdier than it looks. Negatives: controls limited to on/off and volume (but hey you can tweak the sound off your Ipod!). Conclusion: For what it does, you can't beat it! Rather than lug my box out, I regularly ask my daughter if can borrow her monkey so I can listen to him! And, I got it at a one day sale price - other family members have already told me that they would buy one today if they could get it at that price.- Type of Listener : Audiophile

Average item3

This review may be biased to some, but it is merely my honest experience with the item. I bought this for my girlfriend in a spontaneous moment when I saw that it was $40 and originally priced at $100. She needed a music player and it seemed like a fun twist that she would enjoy. Needless to say, she was not thrilled by the purchase. Granted I did buy her some other things (camera) that she really liked, this did not do it for her. It was a nice enough item in itself, came safely packaged and looked exactly like advertised. Even had volume controls on the ears which I thought was funny. Ultimately, this is definitely a $30-40 item for what it provides, and if you get it for that price it could be worth it.1 out of 6 found this review helpful.

This Paul Frank Julius Dance Machine Portable Speaker Dock for AppleĀ® iPodĀ® has been fun to use and produces outstanding quality to the music.
It is nice and small and can be used as a portable player which is great by the pool or at a picnic in the park. It is very simple and easy to operate.
I use it for Pandora and ITunes mostly.- Type of Listener : Avid listener

Style and function5

I bought this to sit in our dining area/kitchen as a functional decoration (mainly for my wife who complained my Altec Lansing was an eyesore). I compromised and got this and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent sound quality. I bought it on sale so I'd hesitate if I were to get it again at full price, but I am happy I have it now.- Type of Listener : Casual listener
