I was torn between getting an upright exercise bike or a recumbent bike like this one. I did a LOT of research on knee problems since I have bad knees, and almost every article said a recumbent exercise bike was best. There is not weight bearing down on the joints. My husband put it together in about 45 minutes. It's light enough that I can drag it around where I want it...usually in the bedroom in front of the tv. Miles go by fairly quickly while watching tv and riding this bike. It has a large lcd screen to show the distance you've ridden, calories burned, time spent riding, etc. The seat is comfortable and so is the back rest. LOVE IT! I ride it every day unlike my ellitpical and Bowflex machines which are gathering dust!- Age : 45-54
