Plastic case is poor quality

Posted by: from on 02/13/2011The shows are awesome. It's Star Trek - how could they not be? The plastic casing however, is very poor quality and won't hold up if you plan to actually watch the DVDs. You will be lucky if the cases aren't broken during shipment but just opening the case to get out a DVD will cause the spine to tear. I purchased the full collection of TNG DVD set a few years ago and those have held up beautifully. Those cases were made with cardboard and function much better for fans that want to watch the DVDs plus display and protect them. The plastic cases for the original series are horrible quality in comparison.
