More (Truly Authentic) Classic Trek4

This series resurrects the briefly-lived Original Series of Star Trek. Featuring the entire original bridge crew (minus Walter Koenig--Chekhov), it breathes life back into Gene Roddenberry's creation. The writing is top-notch for the era, bringing many of the Original Series writers back on board. Although it looks and feels very much like a cartoon, it behaves like the live-action classic.
This set is a quality DVD season, offering few bells and whistles, and delivering exactly what it promises. Worth the investment for any true Trek fan.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

This was a series I loved as a kid when it aired but it has not held up well over time. The fun in the series is looking at the continuity errors between wide shots and closer shots. At times you see Uhura at Communications in a wide shot but in the close up it is the Cat Lady character. Also after watching a few episodes you realize that Filmation recycled the same music over and over. Just remember that this was aimed at a younger demographic and at times it really throws logic out the door. Also be prepared with lots of sequences that show the characters walking in the distance in shadow form. This is good for mindless silly fun.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

The anamated virson of Star Trek looks really cool. William Shatner performs well as always. The story is very interesting and the characters are diverse.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.
