One of the worst items I have ever purchased! The only item I have purchased from Best Buy that I returned. This item gave me gray hairs, hard to work, went in and out of service all the time, not as good as the cable boxes.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

This is my second Premiere. I wanted an XL but TiVo discontinued it. in favor of a new Premiere 4 to complement the XL4. I'm more interested in recording capacity and the ability to cut the cord and say goodbye to TWC. The 4 tuner models do not do OTA.
They at least enhanced the internal drive with a 500g which is an improvement over the 320g in my other TiVo.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

The DVR does its job very well. Tivo PC software, even after buying the premier version, is problematic. I cannot get it to consistently transfer recordings. Not enough help information to trouble shoot. I would like to stream to my iPad but having to pay over $100 more for the possibility has me worried that the functionality will be disapointing based upon my PC software experience. iPad remote control software works fine. Considering a Slingbox instead of the Tivo streaming box for better flexibility for similar cost.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I don't have cable where I live now and was really missing the fact I could not record my shows on my cable box to watch at a later time. I work and spend time with family in evenings when prime time is on. With the Tivo box, I am now able to record 2 shows at once and watch them when I want to.
My first antenna I was using seemed to get the channels at a different location than what the Tivo said they were supposed to be on. After I bought a new antenna, the channels are coming in on the right channels. If I could have changed the channel that the line up matched on the Tivo, then I wouldn't have had to get a different antenna, but when the guide shows the channel on 10.1 and my antenna picks it up on 10.3 there is no way to set the auto record to record on 10.3 as that channel showed no information. The new antenna gets the channel where the guide says it should be, so now I can set it to auto record my favorite shows without checking it everyday! I can now come home and watch my prime time shows when I have time. Well worth the price of the Tivo and the monthly subscription charge is affordable.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

love the ability to record show from remote location and the ability to record season of shows without having to set the recorder for every time show comes on . very convenient device to have I can access Pandora and You Tube without having to go through Laptop or PC0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I have been thinking of buying Tivo for a very long time. I finally decided that I would try it, and I am so glad that I did! Yes, you have to buy an adapter to hook in to wifi unless you can plug it in, but the setup was very easy for both the adapter and tivo. Also, I bought the lifetime Tivo membership which is about $500, but I figured I've been renting the DVR from the cable company for about 5 years already, which adds up, and i don't get to keep the DVR.
The Tivo suggestions are pretty cool. I have actually found some new shows that I like thanks to the suggestions. I like that you can turn that feature off if you don't want it.
All in all, I am even happier with my Tivo than I thought I would be!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Had Comcast DVR. This product is so much better. If your debating whether to switch, dont hesitate! We got the DVR, added Netflix, switched to basic cable and we couldnt be happier!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
