I use it for dumping large amounts of RAW camera files while on vacation. My laptop hard drive is small. had no problems with win xp (laptop), or win8 (desktop).

It just plugs into the USB port, is easy to use, small, fast, accurate and stores thousands of the high-resolution images that I need to store. In summary, this little drive is exactly what I need to secure my digital images.
