I really wanted to like this drive

Unfortunately, I had to exchange the first one I received since its cable connection was so temperamental, the slightest movement would disconnect the drive.
The second drive I received suffered its own set of problems. After every three to four uses, the drive would automatically convert itself to write protected - making it impossible to add new files.
The only way to repair the drive involves running the Windows command CHKDSK K: /F within a command window. K: refers to the drive letter that Windows assigned to my drive.
This device appears to suffer significant design and manufacturing issues. Sadly, I don't recommend it.

Fantastic little drive

The drive has a small profile, large capacity, and works like a charm. It replaces a WD Mybook drive that crapped out before it should have. I am pleased with the drive and its performance.
