They're trying to build a prison....
System Of A Down is really one of those bands that's better taken in full doses rather than in pieces, and by that I mean better to hear their full albums especially when the "hit" songs that the radio plays over and over aren't even their best songs. Toxicity is a good example of that especially with the raw energy performance and the clear mixing from legendary engineer Andy Wallace (Slipknot, Slayer, Sepultura, White Zombie, Rage Against The Machine). This easily qualifies as one of those albums that you must hear before you die.

Good overall
This album is fantastic. Honestly, you're not going to hear anything like this. Each song is very unique and strange, but it hooks you with each passing note. The lyrics are very abstract, as well. Most people know the big songs on this album, like Toxicity, Chop Suey, and Aerials, but I highly suggest you listen to the other songs as well. Psycho, Shimmy, Bounce, and Forest are some of my favorites in there. The only reason I'm not giving a five star rating is because I disagree with the messages put out there by SOAD. Other than that, not a bad album.
