Synopsis

The supernatural tale of star-crossed lovers continues as the Cullen family flees Forks in order to protect Bella (Kristen Stewart), and the heartbroken high-school senior discovers that vampires aren't the only creatures in town. Realizing that Bella will never be safe as long as he's around, Edward (Robert Pattinson) makes the difficult decision to leave his beloved behind shortly after her 18th birthday. Reeling from her loss, Bella embraces self-destruction after being comforted by Edward's image during a moment of mortal peril. But as heavy-hearted as Bella may be, her old friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner) distracts her from her sorrows by helping her renovate a weather-beaten motorbike. When Bella encounters a former adversary with a sizable grudge, she's rescued from harm at the last second by pack of enormous, ferocious wolves. Subsequently delving into the history of the Quileutes, Bella discovers the secrets of Jacob's tribe while looking forward to a reunion with Edward that may have deadly consequences. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Posted by: from Eatontown, NJ on 02/22/2011This was my least favorite DVD for extras (although the movie was better than the First Twilight). The acting has developed. I cannot believe that R. Pattinson and K. Stewart did not provide audio commentary on this one the way they did on the first and third movie reels.

Posted by: from Peoria, AZ on 08/10/2010I read the books and now started with the movies and I am hooked on this series. I was so happy to see that Best Buy had both Twilight sagas available and am looking forward to when the rest come out, which I know is years from now.

Posted by: from Miami on 04/23/2010Went to see the movie at theatre and missed several parts due to young whiny nephews. I was excited to purchase the DVD. I actually thought this director stayed closer to the book. I noticed when things were edited out from the book version, the director found a way to bring it back in, in another way - maybe through another character, but you didn't feel like you were missing something the way you did with Twilight. The special features weren't as great with this DVD though. I would've loved to see more ouittakes - bloopers - - discussions by the characters, etc.

Why did I watch this?!

Posted by: from Winston-Salem, NC on 04/12/2010Let me make this review as clear as possible. If you are male, you're NOT going to like this movie! If you are a mature individual and above the age of 17 years old, you're NOT going to like this movie! My wife and I watched the first film and thought it was just terrible. We only watched this one because we heard it was better. It was a LITTLE better, but it's still a terrible movie. I was hoping New Moon would be geared more towards adults or even a male audience at that. No such luck! These movies have a pointless plot with no conclusion. Let me get this straight, a girl is caught in a love triangle between a teenage werewolf and a 109 year old vampire who looks and poses as a teenager. Right?! Regardless of how he looks, why would someone with the intelect of 109 year old be dating a teenager? The plot just doesn't make sense, it's more humorous than anything. Not to mention, all the actors in the film are between 16 and 20 and look like they walked off an Abercrombie and Fitch photo shoot. Like I said before, these Twilight films and Blood and Chocolate (which is the exact same movie minus vampires) are geared only towards teenie-boppers, teenage girls between 10 and 17 years old. That's it! Unless you actually like silly high school drama and lots of shirtless teenage boys running around. So, if you find yourself in that category, by all means you'll probably like it. For all the adults and males reading this, I don't recommend this film!!! Also, I don't understand the PG-13 rating. For all you parents, this could pass for PG or even G, if your little daughter wants to watch it. (I'm suprised Disney didn't slap their label on it.)
