The Jewel Cases sealed the deal, yes it's kinda slow, but Dual Layers usually do take a while. I just like being able to archive Large Videos and other media without any issues. I have no need for Blu-ray yet, I can't afford that stuff yet anyways. I have a ps3 but that was for gaming more than anything. But anyways, back on topic... I am glad I chose this brand, I won't buy any other again, Sony DVD's were not nearly as reliable. I had constant Coasters instead of backed up home Videos.
When I go Blu then I'll get Verbatim's Blu-ray's but until then I'm a happy camper :-) All of my files were burned using Windows 7's explorer, no expensive 3rd party stuff here in my house.9 out of 9 found this review helpful.

Worth The Money!5

I wasted 4 hours trying to get my new Dell XPS 8300 to create the factory restore image back up on my memorex DVD-R discs. I thought it was an issue with the Dell Back Up Software since it had problems installing initially.
It would write the disk but then always fail at the verfication stage.
Finally it dawned on me that it might not be the software but the discs themselves, so read some reviews and went out the next day and bought the Verbatims. Guess what? First try it created the restore image and verfied successfully.
You get what you pay for, don't risk the hassle or even worse, back ups that won't work when you need them, time and data are too valuable.7 out of 7 found this review helpful.

Price was good on these so I picked up the 5 pack, little slow but overall they are great DVD's. I have used them so far to back up data and music and burn a couple dual layer movies and they work wonderful.15 out of 15 found this review helpful.

Great if just played on a PC4

The Dler's work great as far as getting the burn for your buck but anything you burn you wont be able to play on any DVD or Blu-ray player that they weren't burned on. I say if your limited to what they play on they they aren't that worth it. just go with Memorex. Yes you lost 2/10 disks but the ones that do burn play on everything.4 out of 21 found this review helpful.

Very good quality, plays files very good without skipping or lagging at all. Not so cheap but well worth the price. I would strongly recommend this to everybody burning either movies or games.7 out of 8 found this review helpful.

Great purchase5

I had recently purchased the Canon FS 100, so I thought that I should attempt to make a movie and burn it on a disk. This was the very first time that I had done this, so I thought that I would screw up a bunch of times. Anyway, I decided to buy this product. iDVD on my mac guided me through a easy step by step process, and the disks never failed me. I put the disks into the TV, and they look great. All I have to say is that if an amateur like me can do it, anyone can. However, if you tend to burn movies very often, I would recommend buying a larger package so that you pay less per disk.8 out of 8 found this review helpful.

One Great Double Layer Disk5

This has to be one of the best brands out there. I have used Verbatim Double-Layers for a while now and i have never had a bad burn with them.. occasionally i will get a little cheep and buy the memorex brand for dvd+r DL.. but they do not even come close to the reliability of the Verbaim ones.3 out of 3 found this review helpful.
