Great for my mom4

I got this for my mom for mother's day. She needed a phone, but has trouble texting. This phone was perfect for her with a slide keyboard and allows her to play the games she likes to play. The plan is perfect for her and easy for her to reload.- Age : 25-34

Bought this for my 14 year old son as a birthday present-we purchased the 35.00 a month "contract", but Best Buy was out of that top up card so we went ahead and purchased all the kids 50.00-needless to say he LOVES the phone, and all the applications that Virgin has to offer.
Great purchase. Beats signing a 2 year contract with Sprint!

Decent phone for basic needs4

Still getting use to the phone but so far no real complaints. A bit thicker and heavier than I would like but I wanted a slide out keyboard so that is what I get. Great price vs other android phones from other companies and Virgin has great price for their plans.
FYI people should always see what access they are giving when downloading apps. It is as bad as anything the government is doing these days.- Age : 35-44

Great price for a smart phone. Previously had a Samsung Intercept, and the Kyocera Rise has a much better battery life and seems to be more dependable. Slide out keyboard is nice when texting.- Age : 45-54

Android should be making new phones better and more upgraded than the one's that previously come out before. The camera on here is horrible, it has no auto focus, and you cannot get rid of the shutter sound. The recording sounds awful. Phone call volume is also very low even when you set it at it's highest bar. The speakers for music is also quite scratchy and annoying. Many of the apps force quit, and the phone shuts off at random times. The only good thing is that, the start up doesn't take long, you can also multi task while having about 7 windows open at the same time. Screen is pretty responsive. The phone also weighs a bit too much, it's a hassle to carry it ...- Age : 18-24

For $35, this Virgin Mobile plan is a really good value. Unlimited text and web, plus 300 mins, which is more than enough for me. The phone was $100, but worth it for no contract. I like that it has a touch screen keyboard and also a pullout qwerty board. It is easy to use for an old "non-tech" gal. The battery goes down a little faster than I would like, especially since I don't use it all that much. I guess I should get used to charging it every night.- Age : 55-64

Good value Android phone on Virgin Mobile4

For the price this phone is great. It has a more up-to-date version of Android (still not the newest) than many of the phones Virgin Mobile has to offer, and offers a keyboard for easy text entry. So far I haven't had any issues with the handset and would recommend it for those watching their budget.- Age : 25-34

Economical, Smart Phone5

Love this phone. I had an iphone 4 under the Virgin Mobile plan and had to return it due to malfunction (under geek squad protection plan). I chose this phone as a replacement, something cheap so that I wouldn't be as disappointed if it broke. I love it! It runs way faster than my husband's Motorola Triumph, and I really dig the key pad. It's small but with the slide out keyboard, there's no issue trying to type out texts or search the web. I am about to buy another one for my husband as a surprise so that he can rid himself of the Triumph.- Age : 25-34
