Bought this when my previous disposal failed.
Did some research & found this to be rated #1 by a well known consumer research agency. Up until then, I never heard of Waste King.
Since the kitchen sink was out of commission due to the leaking disposal, we were looking for an immediate replacement.
The closest retailer that had it in stock turned out to be a Best Buy Store 50 plus miles away. Seems that Best Buy does not have this in stock at all their retail outlets. Since this unit was rated #1 and we needed an immediate replacement, We decided to make the 50 mile trip to purchase this unit.
Have used it for 2 months now. This unit chews through bones and all types of produce and fruit. Even plastic and paper. Never jammed or clogged or had a stuck lemon or lime peel. Our previous unit almost always clogged when grinding leafy vegetables such as lettuce, unless it was fed in small quantities. If not, it necessitated bringing out the plunger.
As a bonus, it is much quieter than the previous disposal.
Remarkable how such a simple thing as a waste disposal uprade can make one's life so much simpler...80 out of 89 found this review helpful.
