Audio Mixer: Back Ted N-Ted.Taking its name from an obscure STAR WARS character, the Medic Droid specializes in techno-laden emo tunes, drawing on both dance-floor energy and bedroom introspection for its debut, WHAT'S YOUR MEDIUM. What truly sets the Phoenix, Arizona-based ensemble apart from its sensitive, skinny-jeans-wearing contemporaries is its heavy use of the Vocoder (see "The Killer Anna"), which could almost be considered a main instrument for this electronic-loving group.
