Posted by: lutasunshine from Chapin on 06/15/2013I had a front load washer for 4 years. Whenever I washed bulky items like sweats and towels, it would always get out of balance. To avoid this, I would limit the amount of bulky items per load, meaning more loads to wash. So it really wasn't convenient for me to have a high efficiency washer when I was really washing twice the amount of loads. I also had to rewash loads because they didn't feel or even smelled clean. If a he washer is supposed to help you save money, why was I having these problems then? Also, I had a LARGE capacity front loader, but when I filled it up, it would get out of balance. Again, another nuisance. I don't have that problem with my whirlpool. I tested it out by throwing in 4 sweat pants, a few sweaters and a towel...never once did it get out of balance. And to top it off, they came out smelling and feeling clean after just one wash!!! Love it!!! And it has an additional rinse option. When you are purchasing a washer, really analyze what you'll be washing, because he washers really can't handle bulk items. And don't always go by what Consumer Reports tells you. They test washers by washing a load of wash cloths. Of course they are going to come out cleaner in he washers because they aren't bulky items. But try to wash sweats, a comforter, towels or sheets, and they really don't feel clean after the first wash. I learned the hard way and will stay with agitators until I am certain he washers can truly handle bulky items.

But the washing machine is very loud. during the washing cycle, and the pump stage. You can actually hear it outside the house. I try to start a load of laundry when im leaving just so I don't have to listen to it run

When I owned a higher priced model, I very rarely ever used the complicated settings. It is good to go back to the simple & economical brand.
