I kept on using that old range with one broken burner for another 4 years. This year I decided to replace it with this Whirlpool range. It is pretty, easy to clean. I like it.

Nice range, easy to keep clean and looks good

I like to watch the cooking process. The range is easy to care for. It has a light to remind you the top is hot and/or there is a burner still on. I like the outer rings of the forward burners. They make the range verstatile for different pot sizes. I got used to that quickly. Overall a very nice range for the money.

Posted by: 1sissie from columbus, oh on 04/06/2013This is my first flat cooktop electric stove. It looks good - brings water to a boil extremely fast and the oven heats up quickly. The only thing that I do not like is that it is hard to keep the cooktop clean. I have the silver and black model and the rest of it is easy to clean...but the cooktop and I even bought stuff for it....still difficult to keep clean. I decided to only clean it really well in the evenings when all cooking for the day has been complete. This way it won't wear on me. I would buy it again, because of the looks and quality. I just wish the stove top was easier to clean.

It took some getting used to going from a electric coil stove top to a flat smooth stove top but the cooking is so much more even. With my electric coil cooking there were hot spots where food would stick in certain areas of my pots but with this range there is such even cooking that I don't have that problem. I love the way I can use the inner heating element or both for a larger cooking area. It's great being able to customize my cooking with each size pot or pan I use. The oven seems to take a little longer to preheat than my old one but I just adjusted to that. I'm really happy with all the cooking I've done with this range. It's really nice to be able to use the convection or bake features with the oven. I find that I use the convection cooking more. The storage drawer is smaller than my last one but I've just adjusted to that. I'm not going to complain about that when I have such a larger oven. It's huge! I did order a third oven rack since it only comes with 2 racks. I had to make minor adjustments compared to my old range but that's to be expected. I didn't go wrong purchasing this range and I'm very happy with it.
