Posted by: MaxPaul from St. Peters, MO on 03/10/2013Install was not to bad, but I have a Ham Radio background. Defiantly need 20 feet of vertical separation. Was fairly sure I read during my research that this will work for a small home. Well as it turns out it works great in one small room, 10 foot max from the front and sides of the inside antenna. If your trying to cover most of a 2000 sq foot home. Get at least what Wilson calls their DB Pro, which is not available at Best Buy. I bought the version with the flat panel inside antenna and it works good enough for us. Going to spend about 400 bucks for it. Again keep the two antennas 20 feet vertically apart and pointing near as you can 180 degrees from each other. BTW the gain pot reduces the inside signal strength. Not going to recommend this due to most of us reading this are getting this for our homes. BTW the DB Pro took us from one bar and text only to 5 bars in our front room, 20 feet from antenna and one wall. Still got 3 bars @ 60' and 4 walls.

Excellent booster

Posted by: Sherrichele from Bossier City, LA on 02/11/2013Awesome cell phone booster. My husband has a 30x50 metal shop with a metal ceiling that had ZERO service as soon as you walked in the door. Now that he has set this up we have full bars, 3G & 4G inside the shop with the doors closed. He also has two rooms inside the shop and still has full bars in both of those. It has made a huge difference. The shop is 1500 square feet and we have service in every part of it. I'd definitely recommend the Wilson DT Cell Phone Booster to anyone.

Posted by: Jackinthepines from Mississippi Woods on 02/03/2013Very happy with this product! We live in a "berm home" which has the back and one side built into a hill with cement walls. Also has 26 mill steel roofing - all of which meant almost no cell service in much of our house. Installed this booster (follow directions!!) and now I get 4-5 bars service in my office where the inside broadcast antenna is and two bars at the farthest point away from the antenna - 1600 sqft house, so YMMV on this. Also boosted the Verizon Jet Pack air card signal for internet service from 1 to 3 bars out of 5! That service was iffy previously and seems to be very steady 3 bars now. So we got two for the price of one! Very satisfied with this product = perfoms as promised.

Posted by: inspectorbiz from lenox pa on 12/03/2012Easy installation, It works great and I can finally make calls from inside my house. The only issue is that It dosn't transmit thru my walls so the only rooms I have service are the kitchen and living room. Still a 4 star deal for the money. I am very happy with it.

Amazing Product!

Posted by: from Vermontville, Michigan on 12/01/2012This signal booster works! After purchasing our home, my wife and I discovered that not only did we not get service, nobody we know does. Verizon, ATT, Sprint, and any other company has no service here, including Droid Phones, IPhones, Blackberries, etc. Installed the signal booster and now we get great service. I not only get a signal on all 3 stories of my home (Incluing the basement), but I was able to not drop a call out to my detached garage (100 ft) and out to the mailbox (200+ ft). Install was easy, I mounted it to my satellite dish pole on the roof, ran the line down and into the basement and then up into my home.
One piece of advice: Call your service provider when you get ready to set it up, and ask them which direction it is to the two nearest towers. Try aiming your exterior antenna at each and see which gets you the better boost.
Bottom line, this unit is expensive, but it works. The way I see it, now that I'm able to drop my home phone line, I'm only a few months away from it paying for itself.

Posted by: bubbles12 from cleburne,tx on 10/20/2012I was very impressed with this, I live in a rual aera at a bottom of hill, couldn't get any signal at all. my husband hooked this up, we went to 2 or 3 bars. we could talk &text from in the living room, but there were times we only had one bar but could still talk. So we took it back to store and ordered one that covers 5000 Square feet. it only cost 40.00 dollars more. its for a medium house. I can't wait for it to come in. I have metro pcs. and that is great because that did work.

Great in home solution!

Posted by: amcfastpitch from Blacksburg, VA on 10/02/2012Though my initial impression was about the price being outrageous, the product is just simply amazing. I was unable to make any calls inside my apartment before I installed the booster. Now I have on average about 4 bars. I can easily perform any function on my 3G smartphone. The feeling of knowing that my phone will be there if I need it was well worth the price.
I would buy this product all over again.

Easy Setup, Good Improvement of Signal

Posted by: ac692000 from Corrianng, TX on 09/10/2012This booster is my first. The installation took 2 minutes. This included mounting it under the eave of a building and temporarily running the cable into an adjacent building. I installed it at my camp house. I am about 3.5 miles from the nearest tower. I pointed the external antennae in the general direction of my nearest tower. It is about 20* from being directly pointed at my nearest tower. This is because I wanted it mounted flush against my wall. My external antennae is 10' off the ground. I went from "No Service" and "Searching..." to a guaranteed 2 bars. Most of the time I stay with 4-5 bars. I have not tested the range of the booster antennae. The booster antennae is inside a metal storage building. The only reason I listed price as a "Maybe" con is because it seems a bit excessive. But I have nothing to compare it to because this is my first booster purchase.

Poor return on investment.

Posted by: Renz2012 from Biloxi on 07/31/2012I live in a new sub-division with little-to-no cell phone coverage. I wanted to avoid the "you get what you paid for" stigma so when I saw a booster for $300, I really expected a significant boost. Not even close, just 2 feet. The booster does work but I have to sit right next to the signal repeater. I got ripped off!

This Product Exceeded Expectations

Posted by: WDeutsch from Woodbridge, VA on 07/26/2012I bought the SOHO Mobile Phone Signal Booster, and it did not work. So I was very skeptical of signal boosters. The Best Buy customer service person suggested I return the product and get this instead. If you follow the set up instructions it works extremely well. The range was better than the instructions indicated it would be. The trick to setting it up is adjusting the dials on the box when you have the antenna in a good spot. I am in a small office. The antenna needs to be outside, so every day I just hang the antenna above the door and run the cable out to it. If I was going to be in my place on a long term basis I would recommend putting a hole in the wall to run the cable outside. If you need to boost your signal in a medium sized home or office this is the way to go.
