Wonderbook: Book of Spells - PlayStation 3 (11 out of 12)
Neat kids game for that dusty move wand

Posted by: from on 06/13/2013Easy pick-up-and-play game for the young and young at heart. Though there is not much replay value unless you love using the PS3 move. Gameplay: There are YouTube videos that do a much better job showing the gameplay than I can describe. In short, you set the book in front of the PS3 Eye, and wave the PS3 move wand over the book to cast spells.

It is good for Harry Potter fans

Posted by: from Terre Haute, IN on 06/08/2013I bought this for my four year old son. He got bored in a fast way. I am not a potter fan, I have never read or watched and potter stuff. I can't complain though because it is pretty cool, and I got if for a great price. I can't say it is bad either, I just don't understand the Harry Potter background story.

Good game for young kid

Posted by: from Fredrick, MD on 06/07/2013This good is good with PS3 Move required. It contains spells and stories and kids could use controllers to learn spells and use them. The graph is great. But the story line is short. Once the stories are done, kids have no interests to play it again.

Posted by: from SC on 06/07/2013My kids age 6 and 11 really enjoy this game. They like to memorize the spell words and movements and like to use the later to help solve the problems.

Great for children

Posted by: from El Mirage, AZ on 06/01/2013This is one of the best implementations of the Move/Eye controller setup I've seen. There's truly a few "whoa that's cool" moments as you play. So, this isn't really a game.. you don't win or lose.. its a book of spells and stories. Unfortunately, that's its great limitation too. It's like an extended tutorial with no payoff when you're done. Once you're done, you're done. If they had added on some kind of quest mission or a bunch of mini-games for afterward, it would created at least a little replay value. So, as a caveat to this review, I'm giving four stars based on the price I paid.. which was under ten dollars. Anything more and I would have felt ripped off. Easy plat if you're into that.

Good use of Move and good game for kids

Posted by: from Denver, CO on 06/01/2013This game is good for kids or Harry Potter fans. It can get to be very repetitive and boring if it is played for too long. Overall the game can be completed in about 5 hours. It can be difficult to position the camera correctly.

Surprisingly good!

Posted by: from Treasure Coast, FL on 06/01/2013I was surprised by the charm of this revisit to the world of Harry Potter. You play as a new student going to Hogwart's spell class. The mechanics are simple but it is very neat to see yourself interacting on screen. Also love the story telling with paper dolls - has a "tapestry" come to life feeling. But the game is very paced...do this, then do that, all interlaced with great animated Rowling story telling. This means little ones may not have the patience to wait for the next wand activity.

Posted by: from fairview park, oh on 05/31/2013got this on sale at Best Buy. I feel I got my money's worth because I got it so cheap. Harry Potter fans would probably enjoy this a lot. My family enjoyed it briefly but lost interest. My son is 8 and we are HP fans but not diehard fans.
