XFX - ATI Radeon HD 6770 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 Graphics Card (29 out of 32)
Great card at this price point

Posted by: from Pittsburgh on 03/08/2013This is a great card for budget gaming. I built it up with a budget single slot biostar mobo, 4 GB RAM, Phenom IIx4 and 600 watt PSU. I play Borderlands 2, LOTRO, Guild Wars 2, L4D2, and CS:GO on a 23" IPS panel at 1680x1050 on very high quality settings, and it gets very good frame rates. This same setup with a Radeon 4670 was unplayable at any resolution, and it outperforms the 5870 chip in my Asus gaming laptop with a lower end i7 cpu. So if you are looking for a budget gaming card this is probably the best that Best Buy has to offer right now. Resist the GeForce 550 or 560. The 6770 will beat those pretty easily. And the 7770 will only give you a few more FPS but it does have PCIe 3.0 going for it. Unless you have some extra cash the 6770 is otherwise an almost identical card.

Posted by: from Calimesa, CA on 12/21/2012This product is good for somebody like me who doesn't game a whole lot, but it is noisy especially when games are running. Worth the amount of money you though.

Very nice gaming upgrade for the money

Posted by: from Asheville, NC on 12/18/2012I replaced my aging (but still awesome!) MSI Radeon HD 4870 with this card. My previous card was the best you could buy in it's day witht eh exception of the 2gb model and the crazy $1k+ one with dual GPUs on one card. I always buy the cards with 256bit memory as it has always seemed to be the thing that separated lower performing cards from the high end ones. For the $99 I spent on this card, I made a good choice. Even with the 128bit memory this card outperforms my old one as well as giving me DX11 support and the new Display port, which I will be putting to use soon. I really like this card. Hopefully it will last me atleast a year.

Very Good Car; similar to 6750

Posted by: from Marriottsville, MD on 03/14/2012I bought this card because I really wanted an HDMI output, which was not available on my older 6750. It works fine but I don't know if it was worth upgrading from the 6750?

Posted by: from Indianapolis, IN on 03/09/2012This was the lowest rated area in my computer with a 3.9. I wanted to upgrade but didn't have a ton of money. After checking out a lot of cards, I settled with this one. I was presently surprised that it out did my expectations. It actually rated at a 7.2 on my computer and actually passed up my processor score of 7.0.

Great mid-range video card

Posted by: from Texas on 02/18/2012I bought this as an upgrade over my previous video card... it was definitely older and needed to be replaced. I've been a NVIDIA person for the most part, but when I was looking the price range and features of this card attracted me. I decided to give it a shot. And boy, am I glad I did. First of all, the lagging I had with my previous card in games is gone. Smooth, crisp performance with outstanding visuals. Secondly, I got it for about $40 less than the NVIDIA equivalent at the time. Finally, for those who have had problems with the power connections, time to upgrade those power supplies. My PSU is from 2008, a Corsair 650W, and I had no issues whatsoever. Overall, great card, great performance and a very reasonable price. The life of my current system has been extended thanks to this card.

You will be Sorry

Posted by: from MN on 02/09/2012I will admit like many I figured with AMD in charge now I figured that this card might be worth checking out. I was still a little leary because of all the many sorted reviews concerning the fact that the HD 6670 is a 5770 with a new bios and a coat of paint, still with all the problems that made the name 5770 essentially an expletive. Beware the BSD (Blue Screen of Death) How I wish I had listened. Firstly at the begining of Dec 2011 this was a $200 card. Since then the price has steadily dropped inch by inch. XFX is now offering a free PC game with certain retailers for in store purchases. Thats with the massive price drop that seems to be nearly permanent. Normally I dont think a manufacturer drops the retail by nearly 1/3rd for a quality perfoming product. It sounds more like a fire sale, before word gets out about the card to me. The PC that this was purchased for was going through a number of Upgrades. When the GPU showed up I was eager to see what it could do. Unfortunately I did not have a 6 pin adapter on hand at the time and the newer power supply unit had not arrived yet. (Sidenote it is my experience with NVidia that if it is even remotely likely you might need an adapter you'll likely find it in the package. I think that I should have taken the omission of a cheap yet hard to find adapter as a warning to pack it up and send it back. I had to order one online or wait for the new PSU because the closest retailer I could find with one in stock was well over a hundred miles away. I was not going to drive for over 4 hours for a 2-3 dollar power adapter. When I could install it was not hard at all. For a month I was happy with it. Then while away from the PC for a few hours, PC idle no programs running only the Windows 7 64 OS, the power saver mode kicked in and shut down the Video Signal to the Monitor. Then something happened, what I do not know. Because from then on the XFX 6770 card did not send any signal to the monitor. When I removed the card the integrated graphics worked fine. It took 4 replies from XFX to my support ticket for them to narrow down the problem to either the card or the PCI-E slot on the motherboard (my new GeForce 550TI works just dandy in that same slot# Since then they have issued a RMA for the card. It states on the website concerning when they send a replacement, that the replacement may be a different model of comparable performance #as determined by them# Me, I have my fingers crossed for a NVidea 550Ti. I wont lie despite my spite for XFX. If you luck out you will have a slightly cheaper then a comparable GeForce 550TI GPU. But remember you get what you pay for. If you don't luck out expect lots of questions from XFX like did you plug it in #swear on a stack of bibles that was the first support reply from XFX and it took two days to get it) Additionally after a week I am more impressed with the EVGA GeForce 550TI that is appx the same price as this XFX 6770.
