Being able to hook up my Iphone to hear music is grat to.
The YPAO is great to. It let me know that my speakers were backwards. Left was right and right was left.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Sounds Awesome5

I had been wanting a Yamaha 5.1 surround sound receiver. I thought it would be better than a sound bar. Reason being is with the Yamaha I could listen to my CD's and my old school records and Mag Tapes. Yet still hook up my TV via the optical digital connection and upgrade the lousy sound coming from the TV. I actually bought a V373BL which is practically the same but was discontinued. This was on sale at closeout for $200.00.
It sounds great. The remote is easy to use but adds one more remote the gaggle of remotes already on the coffee table. The on screen display hooks up to your HD TV via the HDMI out port on the back of the receiver. Some of the settings are not intuitive.
Lastly I should have gotten a subwoofer with it. The receiver does not produce the lows to the five speakers with any force. For that ground rattling bass you need a sub.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
