Additional sound was needed to augment Samsung 51". Single box that the TV sits on is simplest answer to meet the needs of the senior who is primary user of the TV. Sound is quite good. Voice range--which is weak on many TVs--is particularly clear.
Set up was easy and straightforward. Controls for box itself is fine. The interface with the Xfinity cable remote does not work the way the set up suggested. The separate Z-base remote must be used to control volume.
I would recommend this to someone who doesn't want or need a full home audio/surround sound system for the TV. If you are placing TV stand on top of this Z-base, measure to make sure that your TV is not too large to safely rest on it.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

We purchased this unit after sending back to Bose the Solo that we had purchased from them. We much prefer the Zvox because it is possible to adjust the sound, and because it turns on and off automatically when we turn on the TV, and also because it can be operated seamlessly with our Directv remote control.
We did have a bit of a problem programming this to work with our remote, but we called Zvox and their technician was very helpful.

Works exactly as advertized. Very good sound quality. Especially like the feature to improve dialogue quality. I looked at a Bose device (same price) and it did not sound nearly as good. Also the Bose had absolutely no controls besides volume. This was much better.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

This speaker system works great, as advertised. my only issue is, I was not able to program my Direct TV remote to work with it. Now this could very well be operator error, and / or lack of patience on my part. Good sound quality!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

First of all, I didn't expect this unit to replace my home theater system. However, I didn't want to turn that system on just to watch the news, sports, etc. This sound bar does everything that I wanted and more. I can now make out every spoken word without cranking the TV speakers so loud that it gets annoying! The bass is more than adequate, though I didn't buy it for that. The size is also right for mid-sized TV screens.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

We purchased a 37 inch 3D LED TV & had trouble understanding some of the vocals with the built in speakers (especially scenes with background music). This system solved that problem & gave us a better, richer sound! It blows you away! I definitely recommend it if you want to have better sound than your built in speakers provide or if you don't want to purchase a full home theater system & speakers! It's easy to install & looks nice with my TV on top of it too!15 out of 15 found this review helpful.

I've looked and looked for a good audio system for my bedroom.
So I picked the vzox 555 for my room and I have to say, that I love it. The bass rocks and the speaker kicks butt!
