Trippy. Posted by: from: Los Angeles, CA on Not one of my favorites from director Richard Linklater but undeniably hypnotic regardless. The advanced form of rotoscope animation is a sight to behold. Definitely worth a second look to this film buff and avid blu-Ray collector at this price.

Good Little Philip K. Dick adaptation Posted by: from: Seattle, WA on Very interesting, similar style to Waking Life, same director (Richard Linklater- Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Dazed and Confused, Slacker). I loved the book, so seeing Keanu Reeves play the main part was a let down. I'm not a fan of his acting, it takes too much energy for him to act.

Substance-D Posted by: from: Indianapolis, IN on A Scanner Darkly is a great film for those who are into psychological-thrillers/conspiracies and art in general. I would recommend this those who have seen other movies along the vein of Requiem For A Dream, Moon, Soylent Green. Great Sci-Fi plot and humor involved.

A Worthy Adaptation Posted by: from: on This a good movie and I think would have been a better one if it had been left live action. However, it is still more faithful to the Philip K. Dick original work than any of the other films based on his writings and as such is special. It does lack a few key scenes and does not convey the same feeling of paranoia as the novel, but if you liked the novel than you'll enjoy the movie.

Talk to Chuck Posted by: from: Columbus,OH on This is a movie that looks like those Charles Schwab commercials. It's very entertaining with the animation that they put over the actors in the movie.
