Total Garbage! Posted by: from: Eastchester NY on Linkin Park is a great great band. However when they dish out this complete waste of talent album it ticks me off. The reason why LP is so successful is because the world loves their sound. Even Fort Minor was a triumphant win for the band. But this is an album not for the fans but for themselves. They obviously had some demons to work out and I guess their shrink told them to do it through music. I don't know what happened. However I can promise you LP will not do another "concept album" like this again. There are some parts where the music is so bad it almost makes you want to smash stuff. Also the lyrics are downright horrible. I'm just totally stunned that such a talented group of geniuses would let down their fans with such an awful product. However change isn't bad. Many artists change or tweek their style. Eminem just did an entirely new type of album and it was a critical success. I hope I never hear garbage like this again from LP. I will however still support their future works. I just think this was a speedbump.

Good record, but they can do better. Posted by: from: on This is a good record, but they could have done better. Some songs are awesome, some songs are just fillers.

Well after yrs astray i'm back to Lp Posted by: from: on Let me start by saying the week in Oct 00 when hybrid theory dropped my best friends mom walked in with it after school and said she got it cause it was 7 bucks and it look cool. So we put it in and I instantly was blown away, having been into other metal band and such of the time it was a lil something different. It was what my 15 yr old self needed to hear and blare. I kinda liked some of Meteora but just didn't feel the same, then after I heard part of reanimation I had pretty much just given up. So I did and quit listening. I heard them on the radio occasionally and was like ok. Liked one track on Minutes, but wasn't inclined for the cd. Fast forward to my 25 yr old self, dad, engaged, starting to slow down....you get the jest. I hear the "The Catalyst " and was like wth are they doin? So I see the vma performance and was like alright yea, I go to best buy, get it and yes sir. Soooo no this is nothing like hybrid Theory or any of the old. This is different yes but everybit as good? Yes. Just as H T was my anthem album of the day many times as i went about with his and that, so i feel this will be now. That was the Lp I needed then, this is what I needed now. If your closed minded bout the band don't buy it otherwise, give it a chance and just sit back and chill with it. Highly Recommend!!

They've been changing.. Posted by: from: New York on ..for some time.Their last 2 albums/cdsboth had a different feel/rythm to them.Linkin Park of old is gone, rap, heavy rock,etc...that time has come and gone for them. With groups like Green Day and Fray,I believe the group is going the way of keeping their material fresh. No two albums/cd's will ever sound alike. There is a few good tracks on this cd...just bypass that nonsense with track #1 and #2 and enjoy. But you have to have an open mind.

Ok CD but not LP!!!!!!!!! Posted by: from: Houston, TX on Music is pretty decent but don't buy it thinking your going to hear typical Linkin Park. ALL the songs minus CATALYST are slow nothing pumped me up on this album. Nothing excited me about this album. I understand Linkin Park was trying something new but they strayed way to far from what made them great! Ok album for a linkin park fan. However, I am disappointed. I expected great things from this album and feel let down! Its exactly an hour long album. Feels short and a bit dull.

Most Artistic Effort Posted by: from: on I have been a loyal fan since the very beginning and I have to say the guys kinda threw me with this album. At first. Now, it has become one of my favorites and I have to say I think it is their most artistic effort for an album.
