I really love what light does, like the beautiful glimmer of waves in the morning, and these bulbs open up options that make exploring new indoor options a breeze. They are especially good on cold winter nights when the wind is blowing furiously and the house has those dark corners. No more!: Alexa, turn on all Hue lights. Then I like to play with the individual bulb colors with the app.

I've always been an early adopter and I still remember the day I watched the introduction of the original hue bulbs. I was immediately hooked and went and bought a start-up pack on the first day of availability. Over the past few years, I have continued to love my hue system (especially with the recent upgrade that made the system compatible with HomeKit), but noticed I seldom used the "colored" lights. Instead I used the "light recipes" that changed the temperature of the white light nearly every day. During the day I would switch the lights to the "concentrate" setting for higher temperature light (4000-5000K) and later in the day I would change over to the softer light temperature that most people are used to. So when I saw the the announcement that they would be releasing these bulbs I was ecstatic. Plus, they were going to be brighter (800 lumens vs 600 lumens of original model) and half the price! I have purchased a number of these bulbs over the past 2 months and highly recommend them to anyone interested in smart lighting. The colored lighting of hue is fun at first, but I feel most users don't often change their lighting to blue, red, and green after the first couple of weeks. The affordability and the practicality of these bulbs strike just the right balance for those interested in high quality "adjustable white" lights.

I love how this lightbulb helps make our home feel automated as well as have an interface we can control via smart phone. Absolutely recommend!!!
