I will honest I just bought this cause i thought it would be cool to buy a brand new ps3 game in 2023 from a store.

The game is a great remaster visually but the loading times are horrendous. If you missed out on this game previously don't miss out on it now.

I've played through Doom 1 & 2 when I was much younger on a PC and have never played Doom 3 before. It is definitely dated with blurry posters, magazines, etc on the walls and desktops but it has the tense atmosphere that the series is known for. Enemies spring up behind you and above you when you least expect them to. The guns are fun to wield and try them out to see which ones take out the baddies the easiest. Still haven't found the BFG yet but I'm sure I'll run across it soon. Health, armor, and ammo are plentiful and you can save your game at any moment so I you get stuck you can retry that part again until you get through it the way you want. The game uses light and dark to create the perfect background atmosphere. The flashlight comes in handy as does listening to all thr creepy sound effects. Overall the game is impressive for what it is.
