Great monitor for the casual gamer! Posted by: from: on After building my first PC, I wanted to get a second monitor to use primarily, and this definitely fit my needs. Having both a HDMI and VGA port, it allowed me to switch my needs in the event I required to use this for my Wii U console. But ranting aside, this monitor is the largest monitor I've ever own, easily comparable to a personal television. With this size, I never use my secondary monitor for gaming, as I can't not use this one!

Great monitor for my purpose Posted by: from: on This has become my primary monitor, and I fell into it somewhat by accident. I had originally ordered another monitor that was damaged in shipping. They didn't have any of those in stock, so I opted for this (a little more expensive) monitor. Turns out to have been a great choice. Although I don't do much gaming (World of Tanks and Truck Simulator), when I do play, the monitor is quick, clear, and bright. For most other purposes, it is outstanding. I do web page creation/updates, MicroSoft Office, and general computer use, and find that this is clear and easy on the eyes. The settings are easy to change, and though the bright blue light on the power button on the bottom right can get a little annoying, that is a minor inconvenience. Overall, well worth the price, but again I am not deep into gaming or graphics, so this may not be the best choice for those activities.

Great monitors at a great price! Posted by: from: Draper, UT on I purchased 2 of these monitors in early May 2014 for $199 each on-sale, for a new 'remote', work-from-home position as an IT Consultant. I used them with an older HP Elite notebook and docking-station that had a DVI and standard display-port outputs. Both monitors ran at max resolution, and matched each other EXACTLY when set at the same TEMPERATURE setting. This is important, since I run my windows desktop with the 'extended' desktop setting, and any variance in color is a no-go when you're in front of them for 8+ hours a day. At my new job, I have 2 Dell monitors, same model and more expensive, that when set to the exact same settings, aren't even close! Get this monitor and you'll be pleased you did!

Great monitor Posted by: from: on This is great for home use if you use your desk for more than just a place to put your computer. It is a perfect size for what I needed. As someone with fairly poor eyesight, I feel the resolution is really good. Take that for what you will. Great for the price. Used in store pick up and the process was incredibly convenient. Just keep in mind that the monitor does not have built in speakers so when you use the hdmi, you'll have to disable the hdmi audio option of you are hooking this up to a laptop. Or buy speakers.

Excellent monitor Posted by: from: on I have a mid 2014 Macbook Air. I started my monitor search with a 29" ultra wide screen LG but after not being able to get the settings right, I returned it. I then bought a thunderbolt display. Paying @ $1k for 2011 technology really irked me but I wanted it to work seamlessly with my Macbook. It did but the high gloss screen was incredibly reflective - I have a window behind me and I could barely see the monitor during the day. The price on that giant thunderbolt, considering a 12ms response v the 6ms of this one was also bothering me. I saw the mouse make major trails at one point which i had never seen before on any monitor, much less one that cost @ $1k. So I returned the thunderbolt and picked up this 27" Acer. I also bought and HDMI adapter and have it set up with the included HDMI cable. The color, speed, size and brightness are fantastic. I'm extremely happy with this.

Best PC Monitor I've Bought Posted by: from: on This is the first 27" PC monitor I've bought and I was more than impressed with it. The size and clarity were fantastic as well as the colors and resolution. The monitor has the inputs to all three video cable types. With the sale price I was able to buy two. Well done Acer and Best Buy.

Deal if its on sale for $200 or Less, Basic Users! Posted by: from: San Jose, Ca on There are lots of 27" monitors to chose from, I chose to replace 2 older 28" lcd monitors with 2 of these primarily for price and use. At the time of purchase this was the best deal I could find anywhere on the web for a 27" monitor. Acer is a good name, I've been using their products for decades with no problems. always out last the warranty. so far!. there's nothing special about these other than the 3 most common inputs included. its few that support DVI, VGA & HDMI in one monitor these days. Mac users can use a Mini display Port adapter to connect. I tested all three inputs with the same source and found both the DVI and VGA performed well and identical in appearance. The HDMI input did not, the image was washed out compared to the other DVI and VGA inputs. Even though I could have tried to adjust the hdmi to match it did not make sense to do so since it performed well with no adjustment on the other 2 inputs.Since I'm using this in a 2 monitor W7setting I chose the DVI and VGA inputs since my graphics card supports all three. So far all is nominal, steam games look fine, basic use is fine too. The one disappointment for Me was when I opened the box and found the external power supply. Its a personal choice but I prefer internal power supplies on monitors (No power brick, Direct from the wall AC plug to the monitor). I almost returned these due to this, but after looking at the market again I found it would have cost $100 more each to get that feature. I decided to install and test them. I wall mounted these on 2 vesa 100x100 arms with ease. They phyically lok great, thin bezel, thin depth, non glare. I'm Happy! My advice is if You are looking for a 27" and need multiple inputs and can find this for $200 or less its a good deal at this time. Things change so fast however, so look around at the entire market before chosing this monitor, there may be a better deal out there. The next monitors I buy will be 4K once the price comes down. For Now, these will do.

Light and Great Posted by: from: on Great price, quality and a lightweight monitor. Acer always produce very good quality and long shelf life of hardware. About the image, colors and contrast are rightly balanced. i Definitely I recommend it.

monitor Posted by: from: on This monitor has really bad contrast, and most of the backlight actually comes from the bottom, making the bottom half of the screen ligther than the top half. Really bad for looking at PDFs, should have spent a couple bucks more and gotten something with better contras
