disappointing Posted by: from: home on I had high hopes for this album after seeing him live at Christmas Jam a few years ago, but this album of hits done with just Peter's voice and guitar doesn't deliver the way he did live.

Not a great living room acoustic production. Posted by: from: Carson City, NV on You can hear a difference in quality for the overdubs/edits. I wonder about his "key" choices: why tax your vocal range? Some nice phrasing in unfamiliar songs. Does not compare to recent BJ Thomas (though not playing the guitar parts) for sound quality.

Lacks fullness Posted by: from: on Disappointing. I think a band of acoustic instruments would have sounded better. Just him alone with a guitar and a mike is a bit thin. Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson can do this, but not too many others.

Frampton kills it acoustic! Posted by: from: on Beautiful acoustic renditions of classic Frampton songs! And don't fret, my fellow guitar players (pun intended), despite the solo acoustic nature of the album, Frampton does pull out the guitar solos, Talk Box and all! His voice really shines and these acoustic arrangements breathe new life into these classic songs.

Brilliant solo acoustic album Posted by: from: on Frampton gone acoustic! Accompanying himself on some of his best songs, Peter Frampton delivers an intimate performance that makes you feel like he's sitting right next to you playing and singing! And fear not, this album may be acoustic driven, but there is plenty of Frampton's master guitar work on these tunes. Definitely check out this album!
