Good collection of Adult Swim originals Posted by: from: FL on If you are looking for a decent mix of Adult Swim originals on DVD, the folks @ Williams Street have delivered a healthy selection of various seasons from 6 original shows plus some great pilot episodes, including Korgoth the Barbarian (this reviewer's fav of the group), previously unavailable on DVD. Sadly the collection does not include The Venture Bros. or Home Movies, but I guess they couldn't put everyone's favorite shows on the first Adult Swim collection. I like that the shows represented aren't all season 1, as I already own early DVDs from many of my Adult Swim favs. Btw, the collection of shows appears to be animation only, so none of AS's live action shows like Tim & Eric are included...maybe next time. If you don't already own the different seasons available on this DVD and/or you just have to own all the pilot episodes since you've run out of space on your DVR, this is a great DVD set. Newcomers to Adult Swim will enjoy Space Ghost Coast to Coast & Sealab 2021, which have been missing from the network's regular TV line up for some time. (Space Ghost C2C was hilarious years before Cartoon Network even had a name for its late nite animation block, which first aired as "Adult Swim" in 2001.) No bonus material or commentaries etc included in this review.
