The nation's most famous terrorist is exposed in the A&E program American Justice: Hunt for the Unabomber. Ted Kaczynski lived as a hermit in a small cabin in Lincoln, MT, for 25 years. Eighteen of those years were spent making mail bombs that resulted in the death of three people and the maiming of a handful of others. His reasoning involved the hatred of technology and all those who were active in the modern scientific community. Kaczynski was known to the media only as the Unabomber, which stood for "university and airlines bomber." His targets included geneticists, executives, and at one point, a crowded airplane. The search for this serial killer took the better part of two decades and involved the FBI, the U.S. Postal Service, and the Treasury Department. But it was the Unabomber's own brother who finally turned him in after noticing a similarity between his published manifesto and Kaczynski's writings. A&E takes the viewer along on its quest to find an American madman. ~ Sarah Ing, Rovi
