American Justice: The Jonesboro Schoolyard Ambush A national tragedy serves as warning for juvenile violence in the A&E program American Justice: The Jonesboro Schoolyard Ambush. On March 24, 1998, two preteens, Andrew Golden and Mitchell Johnson, pulled the fire alarm in their Jonesboro middle school sending the unsuspecting students and teachers outside. While the classes filed through the front door, Golden and Johnson deliberately shot at the girls. They killed four students and a teacher and wounded ten more including Golden's ex-girlfriend on whom he had sworn revenge. Under the law, the boys were sentenced to prison until they turn 18. A&E searches for the reasons behind the rampage. What makes these boys want to kill? Experts and juvenile authorities try to figure out how to make it stop. ~ Sarah Ing, Rovi
