Don't buy1 Posted by: from: on Worked fine for about 3 months.... Now I have to reboot it once a week. No customer support from Amped. No firmware updates to fix bugs. No nothing for this piece of garbage. Getting a LinkSys, TP-Link or NetGear

Coverage Good, Reliability Very Bad1 Posted by: from: CATAWBA, NC on I have a couple of the RTA15 routers and many of the APA20 access points. All of them have good coverage when they work. I have to reboot the devices almost daily. I have reached out to Amped Wireless numerous times. I am told they will send a replacement which has never happened. The problem seems to be with the firmware. Please get this fixed Amped Wireless. If you could fix this issue you would have a product worth bragging about. If I could rate this product worse than Poor I would.

Overall in top 5 ac routers5 Posted by: from: Tracy, ca on Was long time linksys guy. Swore by them and went through a lot of routers. Found amped wireless and in 4 years been through only two routers. Only reason I went through two is to upgrade. Wireless speed is unmatched and with comcast I go beyond my max speed with this router wireless. With gigabyte wan port and a gigabyte cable modem I don't have a lot of slow points. Range is the best I have seen. I have no problems on 1/4 acre lot with two story house. It can handle a major load of devices too. I have 7 wireless security cameras, 3 phone, 3 iPads, 2 laptops, 3 desktop, multiple network hard drives and media players at every tv. There isn't any noticeable speed difference. I average 120 Mbps down on cable. This past week I have been hitting 170+ Mbps wirelessly. If I ever have question too I can call or chat only with amped wireless to an actual person quickly. They are located in California and speak clearly on phone.

Wouldn't waste my money3 Posted by: from: Washington on This product was highly recommended. I think there are as good products out there that don't cost as much, are easier to understand and work as well, if not better

Great Product.5 Posted by: from: on I actually bought this for a co-worker of mine to replace a Netgear router that wasn't quite up to standard of what they needed. I don't know why but after opening up the box one of the antennas was popped off it's base. I was able to secure it back but I don't think that's how it was supposed to arrive. In any case, the owner of this product is very pleased with it's results--especially the dual band feature which they use the 2.4GHZ for the laptop and the 5GHZ for the tv and Samsung Galaxy 3 phone.

Good Router.... not As advertised3 Posted by: from: Phenix City, AL on Not a bad router.... but the router is supposed to cover 10k square ft. THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE.

Has a lot of promise if they can work out the bugs2 Posted by: from: Philadelphia on I was hoping the amplified signal would be better than my existing Cisco 4200 router. Close to the router is excellent, but when you veer away about 20 ft, the signal is inconsistent. Will wait until all bugs are figured out.

RTA15>>Even more hardcore!5 Posted by: from: Parkersburg,wv on Intro: The Amped Wireless RTA15 is the company's first router that has the new 802.11ac standard. This means gigabit speeds over wireless. Finally wireless has caught up with gigabit wired LAN ports! They added even more amplifiers (700mW) to increase range even further then the R20000G. The 5GHz has two stage amplifiers that work like twin turbos to compensate for the band's normal short range. The router also features a faster processor (660 Mhz) as well. Please note that I also have an Amped Wireless ACA1 802.11ac USB WLAN adapter. Review will come soon as well. Setup: The RTA15 was very easy to set up and it was just like installing the R20000G. They have basically the same UI layout for those who have the Amped Process in muscle memory. Nice. I did have a problem with the "check internet connection" thing, however the manual setup worked just fine. Reboots are way shorter than the R20000G and at just 10 seconds it really doesn't faze me. Very glad the reduced the reboot time drastically! Excellent. For this test I have kept the network config the same as the R20000G as well with the same SSIDs and such and doing this none of my devices thought anything happened. Very smooth transition. Performance: Signal: Right away I noticed a performance boost. I have about 10-18dBm stronger signal on average then the R20000G on all devices! My phone, my streaming device, and the wirelessly connected computers. With the streaming device the 5Ghz performance was much better and videos are playing back much quicker. Speed: As a result of the increased range the speed over that range has increased. Videos stream stronger. IPerf tests from the streaming device are averaging 35-75Mbps vs the R20000G's 25-30Mbps (Please note the device is connected through the 5Ghz band) This is also being done from 35 ft away thru 4 walls and downstairs and the celling has fluorescent lighting. Also one of the walls has plaster. That wall eats 5Ghz for breakfast. An "unamped" router would not be able to make it. Features: The RTA15 has the same features the R200000G has only they have updated the UI, they added a new dashboard for quick system status, The RTA15 also has IPv6 support. The Guest networks has better bandwidth restrictions like the exact Tx and Rx values. This allows you to specify how much B/W the guests on your network can use and to prevent them from hogging all your B/W! Before it was limited to a certain set of speeds. Overall I would give the RTA15 5 stars. Amped just keeps getting better!
